Faction CT 1.0

Hi everyone,. I spent last season skiing on Faction Prodigy's 1.0 and I quite loved the ski as an all rounder but felt it was lacking a little bit of stability at high speed (which would make sense considering they are park oriented).

A good beginner park ski is found on fb marketplace my friend. From there you’ll learn to what you will enjoy, but for now just keep it cheep. I’m in the same boat as you, I’m new to park as well and instead of buying brand new I just got a used pair of faction CT 1.0 with bindings for 250. Beats buying new for 600+ and I will know if I like park or not.

I ride the Faction Dictator 1.0 (now the Dancer), it's not my favorite single-quiver ski but it's very damp and works for icy days, if not much fun in powder. In fact, I'm actually thinking about Bent 100s (or even 110s) to round out my quiver! Dictators/Dancers have dual layer titanal bands which make them extra stiff and durable.

My opinion is that the Volkls and K2s are too fat to be a daily driver in the east, and that you’ll probably overpower the Icelantic. FYI, I just bought the 2021 Faction CT 1.0 (uniquely constructed and burliest of all the model years) from The House for $222 + tax using their 15% off coupon code. I think this might be closer to the kind of ski you’ll want for the conditions you primarily ski.
