 I got Amazon, I have my Nintendo Switch, my two-way power shuttle with my headphones go work wired up with all my other stuff, a uh pro controller for the Nintendo Switch, and then here we have the internal uh, laptop or papers compartment. Evergoods CHZ26 Signal Blue Review (Civic Half Zip 26l)

The Evergoods Civic Half Zip picks up so much lint and pet hair. Also I found for me it had uncomfortable straps.

So I've been looking around trying to find a backpack that fits my needs. I want something that can be used mainly for EDC, while also having the ability to be used as a small carry on. This bag would be used to carry items for every occasion. 

I have a trip coming up and would use it to carry some clothes in one medium to large packing cube. At most two cubes, but I don't see this being super likely. A water bottle, items like shampoo, conditioner, toothepaste, diapers, wipes, baby bottles, some formula, some of my daughters toys, (they're small, teethers). A pair of shoes, IF POSSIBLE. Don't want them taking up too much space that could be used for the other items. I travel at least twice a year so this isn't a one time thing. 

For EDC, it would be your typical day. Notebook, laptop, laptop and phone charger, headphones, writing utensils, water bottle, lunch (goes in fridge as soon as I get to work), a snack or two, keys, a lightweight jacket. 

To clarify the water bottle would be between an 18oz and 20oz water bottle. If the bag doesn't have a dedicated pocket, that's fine, I could always use my heroclip if possible.

I'm sorry if this seems like too much to read but I really tried to give as much details into what I want, I know there is no PERFECT bag, but any recommendations are appreciated. I may end up purchasing more than one and testing to see which one becomes my main EDC. I've looked at a few products from Aer, Bellroy, Able Carry, Evergoods, and Mystery Ranch. Specifically:

1. Aer Fit Pack 3, Day Pack 2, City Pack
2. Bellroy Classic 20L and 16L, the Venture bag sounds interesting, not released yet
3. Evergoods PLC 20L or CPL 24L

EDC Backpack, any recommendations?

 The sleeve is also suspended off the bottom of the bag, so when you set your bag down on the ground, the the computer is held up and there's a buffer of space between the device and the bottom of the bag. In addition, there's some special elliptical patterning that we use to give this sleeve some flex so that the bag can remain soft enough to conform to your back and still fit your back as you wear it. So even when you've got a computer on board, this is a 16 inch Macbook Pro. The backpack still fits and curves over the back and and conforms to your back

 We've used this volume to give you a quick access pocket right up top. We paid special attention to this zipper line so that it's smooth and easy to use, even just like if you're running around just with the bag in the hand. This zipper opens and closes easily. So inside here

 There's a port on the right shoulder and on the left shoulder depending on how you like to run it so you can draw this hose out and use it to stow it. You can put the hose back in if you like or there's webbing loops here of where the sternum strap attaches. You could attach the hose with a piece of cord or one wrap. or you can just throw the hose underneath the sternum strap

However,/\s/ I Have to say that this increase in volume/\s/makes this bag so much more practical for my/\s/ everydaycarry uses without being that much more/\s/visually bulky on my back compared to the Chz22

So I know how popular the GR1 is on this sub and others. But one of the biggest complaints I have about it is that it does not have a whole lot of room for internal organization. Sure, it's a clamshell design and thus allows you to stuff more items in it as you need, which is awesome. But if you're someone who carries a ton of stuff on a daily basis, there's not really a lot of places to put it in the main compartment. Those mesh zipper pockets fill up fast. And it'd be a risk to have everything just hang out loose. 

I'm just curious if there's anything with similar durability to the GR1 but just a little better organization on the inside. It can be a clamshell or traditional top-down backpack.

Backpack with the toughness and durability of the GORUCK GR1 but a little bit better internal organization?

 So personally I put a lot of snacks in here. As you can see it's like the most important uh thing in the bag. it's the snacks and then you also have uh this pocket here which I just have what's in here, a laptop charger and some makeup wipes. So any sort of like extra things that you need to carry you can put in this compartment here and then if you can see we got the Evergoods 2021 right there which is sweet

 you've got that. And they actually have these little holes at the bottom too so any like dirt or moisture or anything can just come right out there and they're really really soft and stretchy, which feels nice. On the back. we have the uh, the shoulder straps so if you can see, I'm just gonna put this a little bit closer

 it's the snacks and then you also have uh this pocket here which I just have what's in here, a laptop charger and some makeup wipes. So any sort of like extra things that you need to carry you can put in this compartment here and then if you can see we got the Evergoods 2021 right there which is sweet. I've been looking for an edc backpack for quite sometime, and haven't yet found the goldilocks one; maybe someone might have a recommendation for me?

* Size - 14-16lt max and not much more, I'm looking for a slim backpack. If possible with just a single zipper line for access. 
* Weather resistant and well built, around the $150 mark and not much more preferably.

I thought I had found the perfect backpack when after my last purchase, an AER Travel Sling- the build quality, internal compartments are exactly what I was looking for, but after a few outings with my load up, it started to killing my back, and though stylish and professional, I realized that a two strap backpack is the only way to go for me. 

I use a Thule Enroute 14L which is honestly, quite perfect in both size and features, it is top access only as well, everything fits the bill- except its not professional looking;  in the style of AER backpacks, Black Ember, etc.. 

I also have an older Incase Range backpack that is top access, great internal compartments, wonderful pockets and design, but its on the 20L or a bit more in size, and I really want something that is slim and minimalist. 

Recommendations?

Recommendations for Small Tech Backpack (Top Access Only)

Hello everyone I’m looking for an EDC bag and have looked at some brands and bags already but thought I’d drop a post here and see what y’all recommend. 

I am currently using a Fox Tactical backpack that I bought back in 2007 or so but it’s in its last leg and will need to be replaced soon. I don’t need anything large maybe around the 20L or 24L size. Molle systems are a plus but not necessary and I don’t need a dedicated laptop compartment either. Pockets are always good in my book but again I can work around a bag not having many. 

I have a Swiss gear back for weekend trips and a Condor bag for hiking/camping trips that serve me well so this would only be for work or doing stuff around town. 

I’m currently looking to purchase another Fox Tactical or Condor bag simply due to how their bags have served me in the past/present but a bag with a “tactical” look isn’t necessary. What would you guys recommend?

Advice on an EDC bag

I'm looking for my new catch all day/overnight pack. For the last few years I've been happy with my Jansport but I'm ready to step it up.

Assume on any given day I'm carrying my laptop (15"), sunglasses, 32 oz. Nalgene bottle, headphones, and a book with me..... plus maybe an extra sweater in the winter. That's a lot of stuff so I need at least 20L, I wonder if closer to 30 is better or if that would be too big.

I am really into the clamshell designs, I like being able to open the full bag and grab what it is I need rather than fishing around. The Backpack Pro from Douchebag is perfect, but it doesn't have a water bottle pocket! Ugh! or maybe it does...? Aer Travel Pack 2 also looks good.

Alternatively I can get a bigger pack like the 35L Instinct Cyber pack to replace my duffel and then a much smaller day pack for work.
