ELAC Debut 2.0 B6.2

I want to assemble a small inexpensive stereo system, amp + bookshelf speakers. I chose Elac debut B6.2 because of very positive reviews and started looking for integrated amps. I'm looking at both new and used amps and that's where the question comes from: there are many used amps (for example Denon PMA-700AE) for \~80 euros, but those were made in 2007 and there aren't many reviews.

I noticed early that the somewhat decent bass came along with port noise when turned up a bit. Also I never felt like I was getting up to the same midrange detail as just Apple earbuds or basic decent car stereo could provide.
