Edifier S1000MKII

I've been really impressed with the Edifier s1000 mkii, extremely practical and well rounded speakers for the price, the fidelity and detail leaves very little to be desired. I have also not heard a bad word about the 1850s and 1700s which apparently are better suited for near field listening and probably more suited to your budget.

** You want consumer-oriented powered speakers, that have connections and controls that are suited for use with consumer equipment. If you can go up to the $300ish range, I would suggest looking at the nicer Edifier models—maybe the S1000mkII if you can find it locally, or maybe something in the R1850 or R2000 series. If you can find any speakers made by Swan, they also have some well-liked options. FYI, **most of the speakers you listed are NOT studio monitors.
