Before the unfortunate events of 11/13/20 I would have provided a resounding endorsement of my Deebot, portraying it as my faithful, willing, effective, intelligent companion in keeping my home clean. I would have even left out a few mildly negative anecdotes like when it refuses to locate a certain...

Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo T8 AIVI Review
The Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo T8 AIVI is a unique robot: part vacuum, part mop, part home monitoring device. It boasts advanced mapping and navigation features that allow it to successfully detect and avoid many obstacles other floor-cleaning robots would get stuck on. And from its companion app, you can move the robot around and view a live video stream of what’s happening inside your home

I had a Xiaomi Mijia robotic vacuum (precursor to the roborock) and it SUCKED, kept throwing the "main brush blocked" error every time it touched even medium-low pile carpet. After getting sick of dealing with it, I threw it out and and bought an Ecovacs Deebot with auto-cleaning base and obstacle avoidance. I've had the ecovacs for about a week now, and I've decided I'm going to return it, because, while it's way better than the Xiaomi one and does a great job cleaning, it still gets stuck all the damn time, and I can't "set and forget it" while I'm at work, which defeats the entire purpose of having it. The vacuum I think I want is the roborock T7 Pro, but that seems to be only available in china, and it only works with the Mi Home app, which I had to use for the Xiaomi and it was an awful awful app.
Looking for a robot vacuum that integrates well with HA
wait for the S7 + self-empty combo. I have the Deebot T8 AIVI and while the hardware is great (especially the Ozmo Pro mop addon), the software and firmware are horrible. My old first-gen roborock had better navigation and app usage than this.
Summary of my first week
The media could not be loaded. Several weeks in: I'm getting happier with the performance of this vacuum. I still think flashlights for the camera would have been a good addition. I have problems with the app still not consistently letting me divide areas. Also, I've had to remap the house several t...

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that comes with a mopping attachment for dealing with any mud and dirt that your pet might track in, consider the Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI. The vacuum also does a good job of dealing with pet hair on a variety of surfaces, but it might need to make an extra pass to collect all of it

Once it got stuck, but that was because I hadn’t attached the dust bag properly, it wasn't clear to me I had to clean the inner fan. **Mop:** ⅕. Don’t get this for the mop. I sort of cleans but really the mop attachment is barely effective and it wasn’t a good confidence builder for me to even go buy the dedicated mop attachment.
Ecovacs Auto Empty Station For Deebot T8 AIVI Robot Vacuum REVIEW
Is that they're really good with filtration? So you don't have to buy filters for the bin and it's a much cleaner way to dispose of the debris. All in all, i love my t8 ai vi, robot vacuum and will continue to use it in my house until something better comes along, but now with the addition of the auto empty bin.

Thinking of purchasing a i7+. I've had the Ecovacs T8 for 4 months now and it is absolute trash with iOS (Mapping Issues) so I'm taking it back for a refund. I've spoke with customer service and they are no help at all and have basically said take it back for a refund because they can't help with the issue. Can anyone recommend the i7+ before I swap the Ecovacs for it?.
