 And these guys I love because they're ultra light and they have a full zip opening, which helps me to easily access my clothes. I love the fact that the lid on the textile folds under because it allows me to just put this into my hotel drawer and quickly unpack. You'll also notice that I've rolled my clothes, and that's because it helps me to fit more into every cube. It's got soft-preparing zippers and these nice pull tabs for easy access

 Also the small size, which is great for t-shirts, pajamas, underwear. The medium, which is great for jeans, longer-sleeve t-shirts, et cetera. And then the large, which is great for winter clothing, jackets, sweaters, et cetera. Now these also come with snazzy compression in the small and medium sizes

 They kind of balloon up into a shapeless oval/sphere and you'd have to pack a TON in them to reach the point where they'd start to compress your items, and, by then they'd be too big for my bag. I used the small for underwear and socks, the medium for toiletries / makeup, and the large I packed empty to use as a laundry bag (it's so lightweight why not?). I must say I loved having a laundry bag but when too many of my clothes traveled from my ebag slims to the laundry bag I had a much harder time packing my bag- even if I rolled the laundry. I think I like the set shape of the ebags and likely the original eagle creek bags - I just wish there was less fabric on these to give them more of a rigid shape

I'm someone who likes things being separated and organized, so I'll continue to use these for that, but, if you like to pack small and compactly I would say the large cube isn't much of a benefit to you. I would rather have 2 small and 2 mediums and use a medium as a laundry bag so I could hopefully get some sort of compression benefit

 The only difference between the tech version and the regular version is that they're built from slightly different materials. Instead of silnylon, the tech version is built from regular ripstop nylon, without PVC coating. This material is slightly better for the environment, but it's also heavier. The regular compression cubes together weigh 3

 For instance, they're still half of what the Peak Design packing cubes cost. You can get a 3 or 4 piece compression cube set for the same price from a cheap Chinese brand. However, they probably won't be protected by a warranty that's as good as Eagle Creek's, and they won't last as long. So in my opinion, the higher price tag on the Eagle Creek compression cubes is justified

 I've used them many times now, and they're still holding up great. Personally, I own the strobe green version of this set, but you can also get them in white strobe, brilliant blue, and volcano red. I didn't choose the white color because they'd probably get dirtier much quicker, and I suggest that you do the same. If you're getting two or more sets, I'd strongly recommend you to get them in different colors, because you'll have an easier time remembering where you put your underwear and where your t-shirts
