Drop + Sennheiser PC38X
The Drop + Sennheiser PC38X Gaming Headset are wired gaming headphones created by Drop and Sennheiser. They look and perform fairly similarly to Sennheiser Game One Gaming Headset, with an indented volume wheel, open-back design, and warm sound profile. They can reproduce dialogue clearly and accurately, and their bump in high-bass adds boom to in-game sound effects
Started off strong
Sound was fantastic, bought two of these headsets...one for myself and another as a gift and both have Mics that don't properly work and 1 headset had sound only in half the headset and was extremely muffled. This is the 2nd time I have tried Sennheiser headsets because I always hear good things abo...
Pros: - The sound quality is superb. For context this is my first open back headset, comparing it directly to my closed back noise cancelling Sony WH1000-XM4 and Steelseries Arctis 7. The soundstage on these are amazing. I played a few genres of music, played the open-world videogame Horizon Zero Da...
Drop + Sennheiser PC38X Gaming Headset Review: One of the BEST Gets Better!
So that's my final take on it. It's an amazing gaming headset. I would probably like it better at 150, but only you are going to be able to decide if it fits your current needs and your long-term setup goals
Stupid question for people that use the headphones for gaming
Ideally for a headset the Drop PC38x are easy to drive and sound great. The other would be the Soundmagic e80c which a phone can power easy and sound great. Those are my daily driver earbuds and I've used them to play Destiny 2 and they work great. Balanced out of the box and come with adapters for 2 3.5mm jacks too.
Best Wired Gaming Headset
The product is well made and sturdy even though it's made of simple plastic. The sound is amazing (I prefer the default earpads rather than the included extra velour set which in my opinion increase or rather emphasize the lower end a bit more). The microphone is very very clear, although it does fa...
Open back Headphones that don't require an amp.
It’s gonna sound like a really odd recommendation, but the Sennheiser x DROP PC38X headset might fit your recommendation. Super easy to drive, sound fantastic for everything between music, movies and gaming without the need for an amp. They’re really a lot like 600 series headphones in disguise for a very reasonable $170. However, you’ll always have that big old boom mic arm on one cup and the volume dial on the other.
Looking for decent headset within a budget
If you want the best sounding though, the Drop PC38x is good, with bumblebee yellow on black though. If it's fashion first, the advanced search for headphones on Amazon has a color swatch picker so you can see which good ones are in the color you want. The Razer is probably the best quality that you can get in a native pink color. The Steelseries Arctis Pro comes in white, and I see those on ebay all the time for great prices because the demand is stronger for the black ones.
I love this headset. Comfort is outstanding!
I've only had the PC38X for a few days, but I've been using it for EVERYTHING on my PC since it arrived. The audio quality of the headphones is, of course, outstanding. The open back is exactly what I needed. I want to be able to hear when someone in the house, human or pet, is trying to get my atte...
