Great Beginner MTN Bike!

 mechanical disc brakes with 160 millimeter rotors this bike is extremely simple because it has a one bite meaning that you never have to change gears in the front. the Saram shifter works amazing when downshifting it allows you to shift up to three gears at once depending how hard you press on it. it has a completely capable one by eight drivetrain with eight gears in the back allowing you to go fast and at the same time climb the steepest hills. shifting on the gears is the Saram x3 derailleur

My wife loves it!

 The bike features a 1x8 system. This means there's only 1 gear in the front and 8 gears in the rear, and shifting those rear gears is the SRAM X3 derailleur. The bike features a Diamondback seat tube and saddle. However, if you want to upgrade to a dropper post in the future, there is internal cable routing ready

 One of the things that I'm not so crazy about on the bike is the front fork. It doesn't feature a lockout and it's a coil sprung fork. I try to adjust the rebound and the preload and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference no matter what I do. You may have seen my previous video where I actually took out my Diamondback hook for my first trail ride

 Let's go ahead and check out some of the features of the Diamondback Hook. The hook comes with mechanical disc brakes, 160mm rotors, an SR Sun Torque fork which has 120mm of travel. Also features some really wide bars and some Treco mechanical disc brake rotors. The SRAM shifter up front allows you to change gears with the flick of your thumb, which means you never have to take your hands off the handlebars
