Death Stranding

Up until that point I absolutely loved the game and spent hours transporting materials about to build the road networks across the second map. Then I went to play something on the PC for a bit and a month or so later turned Death Stranding back on to finish and...I just couldn't. The magic had completely gone. I'd gone from being totally invested in everything to finding the whole thing a massive pain in the arse.

In fact, as Death Stranding approaches its climax, around the same time I felt I was finally coming to grips with everything, it somehow becomes even more convoluted. But ultimately, that didn’t matter much. Yes, the mysteries are a big part of the draw, and it’s disappointing that you won’t get all of the answers you’re looking for

Seriously, it's so refreshing to play a game like this. I've been burnt by generic titles here and there which kind of lowered the bar on my expectations. Death Stranding completely raised the bar again to a whole new level. I'm dumbfounded that there are thousands of titles available and Kojima can still come up with something like this that's not a carbon copy of another game.

Death Stranding. As weird as it may sound, it feels like what I wanted from No Man's Sky from the very beginning. Doing something so simple like delivering boxes feels so refined, like it can be relaxing but not mind numbing because you still have to pay attention to where you are walking into, and the different threats that happen ocasionally. The mixed online where people leave things behind to help you is so cool, and having all the animations play out when you deliver a package is so nice.

Combat is simple and very enjoyable once you get equipped with the appropriate tools. In closing, Death Stranding delivers overall and the world Kojima created is unlike any other.
