Why does it seem like everyone frowns on the 16” AR? Ballistically they are more reliable than anything shorter (although I know it can be argued it doesn’t matter too much sub 300 yards). Plus a 16” you can put a stock on it and not have to deal with a pistol brace or the tax headache of making it an SBR.

<p>Edit: this comes from me going into my local gunshop with a 16” 5.56 and basically getting laughed at by all the employees who all run sub 14”.</p>
