If you don't want to pay as much, get a Dahon, but I would recommend getting something *instead* of the Curl like a Mariner, Boardwalk or even an entry-level model. I own both an entry-level Dahon Vybe D7 street and a Brompton. The Brompton's primary feature is its compact fold and ability to mount a bag up front. Dahons are meant to be ridden and with their 20-inch wheels are super comfortable to ride.

I don’t see where I can call for support. The bike is missing the bolt and nut to lock the seat in place outside of this it seems solid.

I've had my Dahon Vybe D7 for over a year now and it's served me well for both casual riding and longer distances both on and off road. I got mine during a sale before the pandemic so I'm not sure what the prices are nowadays. ThorUSA.com is a good store to get it from if you're in the USA. They also sell Dahon specific parts and the owner is very knowledgeable.
