This is a cast iron, and it is enamel on the outside, but not the inside. You can cook in it because it is cast iron, but your food will stick. You can buy it if you want to, it will probably out last you because it is cast iron.

The pan I received was not a nonstick.

 It's the perfect size for 2 or possibly 3 people depending on the size of the meat or veggies being grilled.

I've been wanting a cast iron grill pan for while now, but wanted to make sure I was getting the best deal. Recently when I had several items to purchase using Amazon's 4-for-3 promotion I decided this was the best time to get it. I went with the Cardinal Red because I already have theCuisinart Enameled Cast Iron 5-1/2-Quart Oval Covered Casserole in the same color.  Before my first use I followed the recommendations to wash it with a mild soap and dry immediately

Perfect grill pan for two

 For the 1st loaf I headed the pot up with a little water in it, and didn't wait for it to get fully 475 degrees. For the 2nd loaf, I just heated the pot for 1 minute at 475. Cooked the bread for 20 minutes. Took the lid off and turned down heat to 425 for another 40 minutes

 Not quite 8 inches across at the fatest part. This pot is not large enough for my bread. Have a proofing basket that is several inches too long. Will be modifying it or not baking bread, :(  Upgrading my review from 2 to 4 stars

Very dissapointed. The measurements for it are from handle to handle. I knew other people had same problem. Double checked using their measurements

Wrong Size But You Might Like That

This would have been great minus the rust!

 Le Creuset cast iron is somewhat lighter. I like being able to broil foods in cast iron. Pyrex can't take the heat at those temperatures and I don't want to use aluminums.

I am going to quote another reviewer who said he gave it four starts because it's not Le Creuset, but for the price, it's the next best thing. It's very heavy, which is not a problem for me, yet, but for someone elderly, it could be. Le Creuset cast iron is somewhat lighter. I like being able to broil foods in cast iron
