can Craftsman wet/dry shop vacuums(6.5HP, 12-gallon) be used inside my home to vacuum hardwood floor and carpet?

I wouldn't recommend it. Shop vacs have inadequate filtration and most of them have inadequate power that Craftsman included.

If you like the canister vacuums you might consider something more like this.

Only buy if you are already invested in V20 battery system

We purchased this because we were already invested into the V20 system and constantly have a need for a vacuum outdoors where cords are difficult.

Positives:

- Battery powered and feels like high quality materials.

- Long and We’ll-constructed suction hose

- One-button, easy to operate

Shop vac recommendations? USED

Craftsman has a great warranty and works awesome. Check out Project Farms independent review of shop vacs on YouTube. He recommends the craftsman in the end. Also, the craftsman vac is made in the USA if you care about that.
