 I think that paired really well with the relatively by today's standards conservative geometry like it's not like a Yeti SP 150 or even Mike Scott Ransom like it's a little bit higher and tighter and pairing that with the heavier frame just made it this not totally unmanageable. Pig I mean a pig that you can manage I mean like that's vessel Backpage Oh yeah, yeah, but in fact I have my most coveted Kom on comments on that I am 29 and and it really is and it's a tight, twisty, steep, gnarly trail and I think this bike pairs really well with that kind of stuff. Not necessarily old-school D-h straight lining through stuff, so it has that versatility that I don't think that you would expect from a heavy 29 inch aluminum bike with with these kinds of travel numbers. Totally agree you're speaking with about feather builds

2022 Trek Remedy 8 vs Commencal Meta am/sx Essential.

6 degree head angle, a 78.5 degree seat tube angle, and 433 mil chainstays. So as you can see, everything's been stretched a little. However, what they've done to counteract the reach in this bike is all the bikes in this model comes stock with a 40 mil stem and they come with a shorter offset fork to counteract that reach

 The Re swing arm comes with all bearings in the swing arm so it's nice and stiff. One thing you'll notice about this bike as well. It is a bit heavier than some of the carbon counterparts out there, but one thing you'll really notice about this bike is it's built for descending and that's where this bike comes into its own. That little bit of extra weight on the descents and that accompanied with the Rockshox suspension platform makes his spot feel really, really planted on the descents

 At times we were hitting sections and we're waiting for the front end or the rear end to give way and this bike was literally tearing through sections. That's probably attributed to the Rockshox suspension platform and the 29 inch wheels with a larger contact patch. Uh, One thing we will say is even though it's got a little bit more weight in it, it still climbs really well. It still pedals pedals really well, but obviously on the descents mate

 And with the lower stand over height, you can run as long a dropper post as you want and you can really get that seat out of the way on the descents. Uh, It also comes with the brand new Sram code brakes, 29 inch wheels, Dt Ex-511 hoops, and 350 hubs. The Re swing arm comes with all bearings in the swing arm so it's nice and stiff. I currently have a 29inch 120mmF- 100mmRear travel salsa spear fish and a 27.5 150-140mm rocky mountain thunder bolt.

Thinking of selling one and getting a longer travel Enduro bike and can't decide which. I normally ride pretty hard and push the 120mm salsa to the max

Hi! I got into mountainbiking in spring 2020 and I'm looking into buying a new bike next year. My current one is really old, outdated and also too big for me, but I got it for free (Focus Thunder Expert from 2009) so I didn't complain. For the beginning it was important to me to have any bike to start riding on. I think it weighs around 13kg.

Now I have some models in mind, but the bike I really fell in love with is the [Commencal Meta TR 29](https://www.commencal-store.de/meta-tr-29-essential-ash-grey-2022-c2x35167087) in ash grey. But I'm kinda worried about the weight of around 15 kg. I mostly ride local trails where I have to get via normal roads, but I also love to take my bike to the mountains and I enjoy bikepark riding. But I sometimes struggle with climbing, not so much that my muscles get sore but I feel like I just can't breath in as much air as I need to go on, so I'm a fairly slow and steady climber. The drivetrain is a huge upgrade to my current one, would that make the weight less noticeable? Does anybody have experience with commencal bikes? Since they specialize on being a direct buy without many retailers I sadly do not reall have the possibility to try it out before.

Other bikes I looked at were the Liv Intrigue 2 29 2021 and the Specialized Stumpjumper 29 Alloy 2022. I also tested a Propain Hugene and Tyee in 29".  Maybe someone has some insight or comparison with those bikes?

Which enduro mtb?

After a long hiatus I’ve been getting back into MTBing pretty seriously. I’d say I’m still an intermediate rider - not hitting any jumps (yet) and still learning drops. Looking for a bike I can grow into but not necessarily top top of the line. Have my eye on the yeti sb140/165 or something like the Transition Sentinel (which I know contradicts my previous statement) or do I go with something more ‘standard’ like a Santa Cruz or Specialized?
