I also believe the suspension platform makes a bigger difference in hill climbing than a few lbs. My Ripmo would out pedal the Commencal even if it was 37lbs and the Commencal was some how 28 because they DW link is legit compared to what Commencal offers.

Ive been looking at the Ripmo AF as a second bike to go along with my 5010. My 5010 is about 29lbs and it looks like the Ripmo AF is about 35lbs. This seems like a huge difference.

Im 5'10, 170lbs, and fit. Will I find the Ripmo AF too heavy compared to my 5010? Ive heard people say it rides "lighter" than it is but I havent been able to take one out. 

Im in the Bay Area and if I got the Ripmo I would use it for some of the bigger trails and trips up to Tahoe/Downieville, while keeping the 5010 for the smaller, tighter trails. 

What do you guys think?

Right now I'm riding black diamond trails and whipping every jump with 150/140 mm of travel, I want to change bike and take a freeride bike, but I'm thinking that the weight will reduce the agility, any advice? 
I want to stick with 27.5 and a bike that is in some way ridable uphill (so not a downhill bike).
My budget is 3000/3500€

Is 180mm of travel to much for riding in park?

 On the other hand, I’d imagine if all your doing is ripping down hills all day with an uplift service at you disposal then there’s really no need to change anything other than going tubeless and adding frame protection! Im still giving it 5 stars but the front wheel was slightly disfigured not a lot and you’d only notice if it you stare at the wheel and not the trail! Lol
