 So the whole purpose of this video really guys is to do this comparison test and use

 and take a look at one of these specialty wedges.

 Now there are a couple of them on the market place, there's a C3i, Cleveland has its smart

 sole wedge and I'm going to be putting it up head to head against my 56 degree Cleveland

 sand wedge but in all actuality since this is 58 degrees it might actually go ahead and

 even replace my 60 degree lob wedge that is basically brand new but maybe going up on

 So let's take a look at the Cleveland, there's lots of technology built into this club.

 So if you talk to Cleveland they have been working on specialty wedges for many many

 Well this is the Smart Sole 3, their work on specialty wedges for the high handicappers

 actually goes back to the Niblic so that's many many years old.

 You've got your traditional kind of first piece here which is the width of a traditional

 sand wedge or lob wedge and this is for full shots.

 So you can use this club again it's 58 degrees you can use this club out in the fairway full

 shots in you know whether that's 70 yards out 60 yards out what have you.

 Now the second piece here is going to help you in the rough so if you do end up getting

 into the heavy stuff you know this little piece is going to help this wedge glide through

 the heavy stuff significantly better than your regular lob wedge or other gap wedge

 And then this third step here this extra flange that they've got on the outside is the piece

 I sometimes hit it's not all the time but trust me I'm not a pro at this so that is

 a big loss on that particular shot let's go for shot number three.

 Alright the ball barely creeped onto the green we'll take that as a semi win let's try ball

 So I clipped the ball pretty good there had a lot of backspin on it but I definitely flew

 the pin I'm on the other side of the green now so I've left myself a pretty long cut

 I'd give that about a six out of ten let's try the fifth ball now.

 Okay guys so that last one I popped basically straight up in the air it still landed in

 the rough I didn't carry it to the green.

 I think out of the five shots with my traditional sand wedge I had about two out of the five

 that were pretty decent and a bunch that just really were kind of unacceptable so let's

 switch over to the Cleveland Smart Soul and we'll give it a try.

 Alright guys now we've got the Cleveland Smart Soul we're going to give it a shot again according

 to Cleveland there's no extra set up tweaks you have to go through you simply line up

 square to the ball and just give it a swing.

 I'm going to try to hit a couple inches behind the ball maybe two inches behind the ball

 and we'll see how we go so ball number one.
