 I'Ve had for over five years. It'S a tiny, tiny, farberware knife. I got it from walmart five years ago and it was getting really dull, and so you really needed to spice it up. Um sharpen

 It is the uh chef's choice. Treasure 15 knife sharpener actually owned it now for three whole years. So i'm gon na give a review based on what i've dealt with um over the past three years, actually got it based on america's test kitchens uh recommendation. So just gon na go over the pros and cons over the past three years, um, whether or not i think it's something you should own and things you need to be aware of

 Chef'S knife, so one of the things i've always ran into which led me to get into the sharpener is even just through normal use. This knife will develop nicks in it and while the knife sharpener can take it out, it's a hassle. So one of the things you really want to may look into which what i did was getting better quality knives. That'S going to have better quality steel

 This is my new chef's knife uh. It'S a royal dilton, gordon ramsay style um. You can actually get little marks on the side of your knife, so kind of the one that really stands out is that little line right here. So with that, you know it will mark up your knife, which is unfortunate, but you know to me: it honestly doesn't bother me because i'm just using these as knives um, nothing more, but if you have something that has a high, almost a mirror polish on it

 This sharpener got a good review in "Cook's COUNTRY" magazine, so I went for it. It does a great job of converting Western 25° edges to Asian 15° edges. I also [try to] use the Chef's Choice 463 Pronto Santoku/Asian Manual Knife Sharpener every time I use a knife so as to avoid having a beaten edge that I need to restore.
