While we never finished it, and some at our table didn't care for it at all, **Charterstone** is a game that sticks with me for a very peculiar reason: The metal coins had a very similar weight and size to Australian $2 coins. Now, that's not a heap of money, but it is the most valuable Australian coin - so it made the game feel weirdly luxurious, because every time I picked up currency my brain was like "this is *precious*."

Charterstone need a ton more development imo, especially the cards and how they cycle. Hoping he got more hands on development, and not just public playtesters and a first time designer.

We just finished our last game of Charterstone (our second time through the entire game) not posting a picture so there are no spoilers. I found that although I enjoyed the game in its entirety, it is a very frustrating game. It is not very balanced game and, in particular, if we were to play again (an individual game). I found that once someone started winning it is hard for other players to catch up.

It's supremely frustrating to dedicate yourself to a specific short term goal, maybe even in opposition of your multi game strategy, to get shafted when last time the winning player got a huge boon. I remember being incredibly salty on another players behalf when it happened to him. TL;DR Charterstone is frustrating.
