Because I find that the scent in itself does not necessarily smell as distinctly old fashioned (I use the term descriptively I do no mean that it is necessarily negative) as say Chanel no 5. Yes, it smells very spicy, animalic and a bit like Coca Cola but if it had come out today I doubt it would be considered a more mature fragrance. It reads more butch than mature. Not that the two are mutually exclusive.

I’m positive this was the real deal however what I didn’t realize was that dabbing perfume and spray perfume do not have the same scent. I was replacing my dabbing bottle of Chanel 5•
