Canada West Boots is an underrated company. Everything is handcrafted in Winnipeg with goodyear welt technique. I am no expert in leather or shoe making, but my gut and eyes tell me that their quality is great.

If I can recommend a bit more of an obscure option, Canada West boots are incredible, goodyear welt and super comfortable boot. I don't have their Chelsea boot but I have their WM Moorby boot and I adore them.

Lasted 2 years of being worn 5 says a week with absolutely zero upkeep. First pair I bought with the intention of taking care of are my Canada West Moorbies that I post on here frequently. I love them and live in them in the winter. Highly recommend them to anyone getting into good quality boots, or anyone who is looking for a nice winter-beater.

IMO Canada West boots are so under-rated. Wearing GYW boots for 40 years and they are hard to beat $ for $. Having Vibergs - now they ain't no Vibergs not going to lie but having Red Wings too and the Canada West WM Moorby line is every bit the equal of RW.

Love Canada west boots. I’m a lineman that also works in a welding shop and I own their lineman boots, their slip-on CSA blundstone style boot, and also a pair of moorsby boots for when I’m not working. Love all three, all GYW, only issue is the slip-on styles sole wore out way too fast. Tread was too thin and the material was odd for a sole.

Check out Canada West boots - they do a <$200 Chelsea boot with a Goodyear welt construction so it can be resoled easily. Was going to hunt for some Thursday’s as I’ve grown tired of not being able to (easily or economically) resole my Blundtstones, but ended up going with the Canada West instead.

I like my Canada West chelsea boots. I don't know if I'd hike all day in them, but I've gone a few hours and they are super comfortable and more versatile than traditional looking hiking boots. I tried Blundstones, but they looked too bulky on me.
