 This is a pretty cool little compartment. This is like I said where I put all my spare tools and stuff like that. I did take some of the stuff out like the little multi-tool and things like that, but this is where it goes. I like the orange on the inside because the orange kind of contrasts and you can see stuff really well

 so that right there is going to give you tons of airflow when you're out on the trails or hiking or whatever. So it really keeps this from creating too much sweat on your back. And the same thing goes for these straps. They're really lightweight, but this is like a foam on the inside of this

 You can actually use this velcro material to actually keep that from just dangling down because this is all the excess right here from where I take up the straps. So that's a pretty cool little feature. You don't have to actually tape that down anymore, you know, they just provide the little velcro material and then down here for the waist strap. It's the same thing, but these can be removed very easily

 I see how it works. now. you pull it off and lift it and there's your water filling station and to put it back on you. Just take this little piece right here and you loop it back over and now you're back together with your gear pouch, zipper

 I think the pack would be more comfortable if I wore it down lower where the bottom strap are around my waste as I think they were designed to be located. The problem is if I run the pac low like that the water hose is short and i can barely get it into my mouth. Doing so turns the hose at such and angle that it kinks the hose. Doing more research I think the MULE LR would be a better fit for taller people
