 There's two types of people that play golf this day and age. Ones that don't mind music on the golf course and ones that I will not play golf with. It's the year 2020. Music on the golf course is an acceptable thing and if you don't think it's acceptable you should probably click off this video but if you do I'm going to be reviewing the Bushnell Wingman speaker and GPS

 That's a remarkable little add on that goes a long way. So nice done, nice touch there Bushnell. Here's your GPS unit, you put it in there, we'll power it on first. So now my GPS is on, we'll power the speaker

 So you can tell, very soft, so if you're just out there and you don't want to bother the people on the golf course, which I highly recommend if you're listening to music on the golf course, yes it's acceptable but don't be an a-hole and play it super loud so that everyone on the golf course can hear your music because not everyone on the golf course likes what you're listening to, unless they're listening to what I'm listening to. But great audio or audio control, well done and this magnet is very, very powerful, stick it on the cart, your tunes are going to play all around and your GPS it's going to audibly tell you what you have, so front, middle, green, you can change the voice on the unit, you can change if you just want center yardage, you can have it speak, you can actually even have it celebrate for you. You can have a setting where it has a golf clap or a cheer, just a cool little touch that I think makes this unit worth its money. $150 for a speaker seems like an expensive speaker when you can get something that's $69, $79, straps onto the golf cart with a snap, whatever, but you get a magnetic beefy speaker for $150 that will be great at home and it will attach to anything metal at home, but you're also getting a built in GPS and from my experience with the Bushnell GPS app is speaking to you, it's very well done, so I would highly, highly recommend the Wingman from Bushnell

 It's great. It pairs with the app and in my experience of finding golf courses, bam, GPS the app really really quick, really fast, well done there. And now what we all came for and what really piqued my interest when I first heard about this thing, I didn't even know it was GPS, I just thought it was a beast of a speaker that had a magnet that would stick to your golf cart and lo and behold it also has a GPS and it has a built in USB charger. So if your phone is getting low you can charge off this unit

 I tried multiple times and still nothing. Finally I deleted the and unpaired everything and then paired it all again. Initially, i still had the same issue, but finally it started working.

 It's something that's unique as well to the device. I've not seen anything else that we can do that with. So you won't be replacing your range finders or your GPS? Look, I wouldn't be replacing my range finder, but this is completely unique. This is a new thing that no other golf company has gone into before

 Nobody's taken this technology of being able to play music and golf and thrown it all into one package. This is what I think, if we take away from this, it's a really big leap forward when it comes to golf more important, because this is new. This is taken into the 21st century. Like golf is in, well, let's just put it this way

 I've lost this like what, 10 times today? Trust me, when it says it's magnetic and it doesn't fall off, it falls off. Right, so here we are at number 16 at Waikanae right now. So I'm just going to talk about a little bit more in-depth features on the Bushnell Wingman. So we can see that if we actually pick up our phone now, we can see that we get the GPS and 2D overview

 So one of these things is, look, we've had this actually out in the shop for a couple of days and one of the other staff members has had it synced up with his phone. Now, I didn't know that it was impossible to sync it up when you've already got it logged into another account. So that was just one of these things that I learned. And the other downside is you can't see your battery life either, right? Straight off, it's not, well, something that's not, I've picked up on it

Fun with the Bushnell Wingman Speaker and Golf GPS - (NOVELTY OR WORTH THE $$?)

 Syncs quickly & well with the phone app to every course I've played so far. The app gives good overhead visuals of each hole and allows you to pick a point on the fairway where the "dogleg" is for an accurate distance to that point or to a bunker, etc. Only downfall I've noticed is that when streaming your music & using the GPS it really put a drain on your phone battery life. However on one course it wasn't an issue because the golf cart had it's own USB charger available as long as you remembered to have your charging cable with you

 Hey Golf people, I've got something really fun for us to take a look at. The Bushnell Wingman. This is a portable Bluetooth speaker that will also serve as a GPS distance device for you out on course. We're going to have a lot of fun with this little guy today

 You can carry along with you while you play golf, whether you're away from the car, whether you're away from your bag or whatever. You could be listening to music, and at a moment's notice, you can press the button right here, and this will connect to the GPS on your phone through Bluetooth pairing, and it will tell you the distance to the center of the green on the golf course that you're playing, just like any other traditional GPS. Effectively, the Wingman combines a high quality speaker with a GPS. That sounds simple enough

 It's available for your iOS devices or your Android devices. You download that and you create an account. And then what you're gonna do is you're going to pair this device through the Bushnell Golf app. And you're gonna do it that way so that you can set up GPS

 The really cool piece of this, also again, back to the GPS, is that you're just a click away from finding out the center distance to the green. All you have to do is hit it and it's gonna tell you how far to the center of the green and then it will resume the music. When you get to a new hole, it's gonna tell you where you're playing, what the hole length is from the tee box that you're playing. So you can tell it that when you go into the Bushnell Golf app, when you prepare to play to use the GPS, you hit play golf, tell it the course that you're playing after it finds it, tell it the tee that you're playing and it's gonna figure out for you the distance for each hole and then obviously it'll use the GPS function to figure out how far you have into the middle of green for each shot

 It's really easy to use, which we'll go through here in a minute. But the kicker here, the golf kicker, with the Wingman is that it has a remote on it up here at the top. You can carry along with you while you play golf, whether you're away from the car, whether you're away from your bag or whatever. You could be listening to music, and at a moment's notice, you can press the button right here, and this will connect to the GPS on your phone through Bluetooth pairing, and it will tell you the distance to the center of the green on the golf course that you're playing, just like any other traditional GPS
