We'd been renting these for a couple of years for our 6 year-old (now 8) with good success. Comfortable, warm, high quality boots at a good price. The tightening mechanism is easy for him to operate. He's wearing the 3k in these but wears a 2 in street shoes.

I bought for my seven year old. These are so cute. She loves them. Easy to put on. She doesn't quite understand the flywheel concept to tighten but that's ok. I do wish the cheaper Velcro one came in her size (1-3).

Got these for my little girl (7). Being able to take out the insert to size them up is great because kids go through a lot of growth spurts. The boss are also great for kids.

Haven't been worn through a season but my daughter can put these on and tighten all by herself. Quality boots but we will see how they ride!

My son loved them prefers to put them on himself. They have an insole that comes out when they grow a size bigger. Kind of cool.
