 But just need a little, might need a little extra layering for the, for the, like for me this is for what I wear on the very, very cold days. Like when it gets down to negative 10, negative 15, and it's windy as all hell. This will go on under my shell. But for somebody who runs a little cooler, this could be great for just most days on the hill and it regulates very well

 The 249 AK insulator is a lot thicker and it offers a lot more you know layering power warmth-wise. This is kind of for those people like me who rarely need much more than like just a shell and maybe one or two layers underneath, but when it gets balls freezing cold, I really like putting this on underneath and I just kind of like wearing it on warmer days there. I think there's little to no waterproofing. I've had this for a while, so it's not perfect condition by the way as well

 There's little to no waterproofing, so it's basically a underlayer or a something to wear when it's not that wet, but it does breathe pretty well. I would say you know this this isn't an exact science, but it felt like even the thicker Kokona style homeschool puffy breathe better about the same or better than this, but this still breathes really good.  Yeah, it's a great insulating piece. It's a large slim. Actually, I'll try that on. So I'm normally a medium, but let me say one thing here before I give it to you

 Yeah, it's a large and it is a slimmer fit because it's meant to be an insulating piece. It's got a stretch outer, it's a synthetic stretch insulation as well. So if it gets wet, it's going to be less maintenance than goose down and for those of you who are familiar with Burton products, this is the continuation of the FZ Insulator, which they did for years or at least three or four years, I think. So it's a replacement for that and I think it comes in a hooded version as well

 This is a large, it's way two inches longer than the Patagonia insulating layer I was wearing. I'm sure the medium would still be longer. So yeah, it's a great fit. I could go medium or large in this

 Actually, I'll try that on. So I'm normally a medium, but let me say one thing here before I give it to you. I love the way this pocket has insulation on the outside here. I used to have a Burton AK Insulator that was the FZ and the pocket was just this thin outer material with no insulation and I really didn't like that
