Brooks Flyer

Planning on trying the supposed best Rene Herse Rat Trap Pass tires for my PCH trip on my ‘84 Ross Mt Whitney this spring.

The few reviews all glow so much they have me thinking I may even use my road saddle instead of the ol Brooks Flyer.

I have the Flyer still for work and walking the dogs. Stratus isn’t as cushioned as the Monster but it’s ok, still comfortable but I prefer the Monster way more. The white colorway of the Stratus is great looking though. The Runner I’ve only tried on but it’s ok. Doesn’t wow me or anything, I just feel like it’s a shoe.

One kool-aid that has worked way better than expected is the Brooks Flyer. I’ve had three, gave two away as gifts. The one I kept stays on a touring-converted old rigid mtb. They’re my last choice for a commuter bike, but my first choice for all day & multi-day rides.

I have the brooks flyer, it's sprung and I find it very comfortable, I bounce over large bumps instead of getting slammed in the tailbone. It's hard not to laugh when bouncing along on a bike, makes for a fun ride.
