●On my griddle when the green light is on, it's hard to see it, it's a white light with a little green on the right & left sides.

●I suggest placing the batter alittle towards the top (back) from the center of the griddle, as when the lid is brought down it pushes the batter towards the front of the griddle. Helps keep spillages to a minimum.

●I assumed the batter would be pourable, mine was not. Once I got used to the batter , and got a feel for it & how much, it was okay.

●I oiled the griddle top and bottom in the beginning, and a couple times throughout the batch. Just poured some veg oil and a couple layers of paper towel and wiped it down. Keep the oil and paper towels handy.

1st time user, learning curve

The indicator light is really not helpful as it doesn't accurately account for the amount of time the batter has been in. Just when a certain temperature is reached.

I found I got a more consistent result when I listened to the sizzling, once it stops it means the moisture has cooked out and this will obtain the proper texture for the cones to be ready to set and harden fast.

The recipe that it comes with is grossly sweet. Better to get one off a cooking website.

Overall not great, but for the price (on sale) it's ok as a novelty you won't use often.

. Several "trials" over the summer proved to SLOWLY close the lid until locks otherwise batter "spreads" too fast and leaves holes..

When ordering this item I thought it would have consistent heating and a timer, it has neither. Also the instructions are very limited, the recipe it gives is very good, but it doesn’t say how much of the batter you should put in, so I went through 2 batches trying to figure out exactly how much was needed for a cone. The central ring would nearly burn and the outer edge was not done. I am only using for family treats so it is adequate my second attempt was a little more consistent

Being a clam shell design ,the should leave more room on the inside towards the hinge side because the cookies are thinner on the hinge side and don't cook evenly .
