This is going to be a review of the Bodum Bistro Gooseneck Kettle which is this kettle right here. So this is a water boiling kettle sometimes called a water boiler, sometimes just called a kettle. It comes in a stove top design and an electric design. This is the electric design which means it comes with this base

 you want to fill up to that max line. This is all metal. very simple. This can't move up or down or anything like that

 The design is very simple. This does not have an adjustable temperature the way some of the nicer ones do from Hario and Breville and stuff like that. It's right here. If you have on and off, that's it

. I was looking forward to a 1,200 W kettle when many others of this size/design are only 1,000 W. 3. The base does not have a way to wrap up the cord to change the length like every other electric kettle I have owned

works good, only 1,100 W, no cord storage and smells funny.

Works but overpriced for poor design.

 Filled to the acceptable water level, you can get a little over 2 mugs of coffee from a full pot. We'll see how it holds up over repeated uses. I'm not sorry I bought it, but I hope it lasts. It's definitely better for coffee-making than my old somewhat clunky electric kettle

Time to boil at Max: 5 minutes. There’s no silicon gasket on the lid to create a seal—it’s metal on metal, so we will see how that holds up. Additionally the lid is entirely metal, so you must wait for it to cool before removing the lid. It gets VERY hot
