Placed  handful of times, gear is great but..

 So with the four lobes here they are sandblasted too now uh, whereas the c4 were anodized um. So there's going to be a little bit more holding power on those sandblasted lobes, that's another benefit of the z4. The c4 does have this plastic casing here. So a lot have been concerned about the durability and that is just holding there's no weight bearing function of that plastic casing and, of course, being a climbing company

We have tested over and over and over again and they have not found a situation where they can break that and again, that is just encompassing those wires of trigger wires, uniform or the rigid flex system, um so yeah on the bigger sizes. There are two cables: um, that's what you have to have it to a bigger cam and that allows the uniform flex for the smaller sizes

 The number zero was smaller than the grey C3 rated to 5kN, with 4 lobes and the c3, when we developed that back in 2007 only got rated to 4 now people whip on it all the time, but in order to be CE certified as a progression piece, It needs to be 5, so we got this rated to 5kNs so smaller than the grey C3, all the way up to the 0.75 and a complete set of offsets, starting at the 0.1/0.2 available in February of next year $ 69

 These things are pretty sweet and we're not done yet there's a little teaser yeah. We got more stuff coming. My Canadian brethren want it to be called the zed 4 and i'm getting hassled because i say Z4 and they're asking me to return my Canadian passport, which is true and wondering if I know who the tragically hip is and all this stuff it's the z4 and No, if you can speak English properly, you should be able to tell the difference between saying z4 and c4.  Jeremy says he went through over a hundred iterations, I'm not sure, that's exactly true, but I've seen all the samples and once you see it, it's relatively simple, but getting there, I think, was a challenge so getting it so that it was stiff enough when you placed It to allow the easy placement and retraction but flexible enough so - and I mean there's lots of challenges. Jeremy - would know more packing everything in we really wanted a narrower head with. You know we were pretty sure the materials we were going to use to get the durability. We wanted in the plastic piece, but I think, trying to pack a lot into this narrow, head width and then just really getting the stem configuration the way we wanted as well getting the flex

 So it's really just a protective cover that houses. These two cables that allow it to flex and then get rigid when you pull it. We'Ve never had one break in all our field testing with our athletes and everyone at BD. We'Ve never had this thing break
