It has the thing with BR540 that I think is what people dislike about it where you smell it up close and the antiseptic/bandaid smell is very prominent, from my limited knowledge I'm guessing that's the saffron and ambroxan but I really don't know. I love it because it's strangely alluring, many cannot stand it.

BR540 was hard to convince of- and it was groundbreaking at one point- but once the concept was presented it was very easy to copy- as it's not that complex. I would go for a clone or similar scent at MFKs price point. I'm unsure if they even use real Ambergris at this point, so what are you really paying for. It's not like you're spiting Kurkdjians work, most of the profits belong to LVMH and there are better ways to support him.

I bought it after reading many many reviews telling that this perfume is the best fragrance in the world and they get a lot of compliments when they wear the perfume. My experience after wearing the perfume is that the fragrance is long-lasting but I don't like the smell.
