SAHD here. Our infant is about to turn 3 months. Been loving being a new dad!! But, when did you stop checking to see if your infant is breathing? If she is sleeping, I double check anytime my mind inevitably reminds me. My wife and I were preschool teachers for many years, so I've been well trained in CPR even in Infants. I'm just worried I'll catch it too late. Anyone else worry about this? I'm sure she'll be fine, but my minor anxiety doesn't agree. I love being a dad so much!

 After research, I found that the manufacturers recommend replacing the sensors after 2 years, so I bought this new model. My crib has a wire base, so I put down a board to place the sensors on, and I once again feel a sense of peace. However; apart from the shape difference, there are two major differences that I am pretty unhappy with in the new one. First, the alarm in the 5s is much quieter than on the V

Peace of mind and worth the cost. But too sensitive.

We switched to this unit about 3 months ago, after our little one decided she wanted to be a stomach sleeper and the Snuza was digging into her stomach (she was 7 months old at the time). We tried for a long time to keep her on her back but it just wasn't happening. To top it off, she insisted on sleeping with her face in the mattress or her forehead on her arms. I never got any sleep, I was constantly watching the monitor for movement

I decided to buy this instead of an Angelcare and I'm so glad we did

Waste of money

I bought the older model 8 years ago and gave it away to a friend and just bought this newer model. First night home from hospital we had 1 false alarm because baby squirmed to lower half of cradle ( I only used 1 pad for the smaller cradle as per directions) It's very reassuring just be sure to check it out, follow directions and do some tests. We like to sleep with our ceiling fan on and after a few tests before baby arrived I realized if I kept my fan on anything higher than the lowest setting the alarm wouldn't trigger because it caused too much interference. Also the flashing movement light isn't a problem during the day but at night it feels like a stobe light in your eyes so I have a black piece of electrical tape over it
