Pretty much any audio interface over $100 will give you more than enough gain for the SM7B without a cloudlifter.

[GEAR] Trying to record guitar covers(finding an audio interface)

I have an Audient Evo 4, which I believe retails for $130, and that included Cubase, which is a more involved DAW that teaches you to think musically. This one has 2 inputs, L/R output for monitors and headphone output. It comes with a smart gain function, which recognizes the volume/intensity of the audio and adjusts it automatically so it doesn’t clip/distort. Only drawback is that the outer shell is plastic, so you’d just have to be more mindful of it.

Just wondering if i can find one of these if they are a real thing. Sorry for being an audionoob

I have the Audient Evo 4, and I quite like it. It has. * 1/4in outs for stereo speakers.

What audio gear should I get?

The Audient Evo 4 is around the same price as the Solo, with two XLR inputs, a very good DAC/ADC, and twice as much power into 300 ohms. However, it has a high output impedance amp, so it won't pair very well with headphones below 160 ohms. The AT2020 is a solid mic, although to be honest you may not notice much of a difference between it and the Razer.

I think a really good dac/amp is the Audient Evo 4 which can easily run your HD 660s, it has really great features, you can connect your speakers, your 2 XLR microphones, a musical instrument like an electric guitar, and of course your Headphones. you can control the volume for your speakers/headphones with the big dial at the top, and the volume of your microphones, just click 1 or 2 to select which microphone you want to control and use the volume dial to set the volume.

summit1G is one of the streamers who swears by their ADs, but in his case is the AD900X. That combined with a Schiit Hel, Schiit Modi-Magni Stack, Audient Evo 4, Mayflower Ark MK2 or JDS Labs Atom Stack you have a competent Audio Setup. Even if you still keep wanting the DT1990 Pro's, the DAC/AMP solutions above are valid, with some supporting Microphone Input, one of them in the XLR format.
