We were fortunate enough to spend a bit of time with the guys from Atomic out on the slopes where we got to give this a real run for its money with the conditions being a bit hard-packed and fast and I tell you what this new pro-light construction really makes the ski sing. As you're going down the hill you have a great amount of stability in it

 As you can see here what they've done is they've taken the core, they've taken the the top sheet and they hollowed it out a little bit. Now that reduces the swing weight of the ski making your life, my life a bit easier to maneuver it around on the piece but ultimately what it doesn't take away or detract from at all is its stability and performance at high speed and at low speed and when the conditions get a little bit softer in the afternoon you can be confident to know that the the tip and the tail will allow you to engage all the way through and the tip has just enough width on it that allows you to plow through that those mixed conditions but I have to say we had an awesome time so great for the time spent with the guys from Atomic and this is a really really fantastic ski I'm sure you'd enjoy it as well

Designed to promote progression and boost confidence on groomed runs, the Atomic Vantage 79 Ti is a piste ski that rails turns hard without the catchy feeling of some other performance carving skis, while holding their mettle off-piste as well.

Featuring a 79mm waist width, the Vantage 79 Ti benefits from excellent responsiveness edge-to-edge while the addition of a Titanium Tank Mesh within the core adds a level of torsional stability and dampness under-foot that you would expect from a much heavier ski with full-length metal reinforcement.

Atomic use a different construction method than usual for these skis. Rather than milling away material from their raw materials, they start with slimmest possible profile and build up the ski layer by layer alloweing them to create reinforcement in the most crucial areas to provide strength exactly where it's needed, all throughout the skis. A great example of this is the Energy Backbone which assists with edge grip when in a turn.

These skis come packaged with a set of FT 12 GW Bindings, these system bindings will not arrive mounted due to safety reasons. We are happy to mount these in any of our Snow + Rock stores free of charge, simply bring one of your ski boots in with you!

Excited to finally be off rentals and on my own setup. I am a 6' flat, 200lbs guy, and bought 2021 atomic vantage 79 ti in the 179cm variety, with fw12 bindings, and salomon s/pro 100 boots. Our local prairie ski 'hills' are all frontside groomers, so figured this would be a great first ski!. Opening day cannot come fast enough here

 I've been skiing for 20 years now, starting as an adult, and these skis have made me a much better skier. They make it a lot easier on the knees, too. I ski on piste and the skis are perfect for that, soft or hard packed powder.

I got these skis for Christmas and they are amazing!  It is so easy to make turns that it almost scares me.  I've skied on them now 25 days at 3 different ski areas in the NH White Mtns. The skis are responsive, stable and quick. They are definitely not for beginners

 So if you really like to feel in control, really predictable, consistent turn shape, this is a great option. The Ti in this does make it a little bit beefier than its little brother, the 79C. So it will handle speed a little bit better but when you get at that top end of speed it still does start to get a little bit nervous just due to the light weight nature of this ski. But that light weight also makes it just so easy to ski and so predictable

so i’m a beginner skier i’m 6ft 210 and i just bought my first pair of new skis there 172cm long. i feel like they’re a bit too short. i’m blessed to be able to get a lot of days on slope so i’m going to progress quickly. are they right for me? will  i be screwed once i get better?

did i screw up?

 We get some really nice camber underfoot coming out of this one. Again, that translates to built-in energy and then when you load it up and release it, the camber puts you into the next turn quickly and easily. They're claiming about a 10% tip rocker on here, looks pretty accurate to me. That rocker starts about here

 So Woodcore, we have a sidewall that tapers up to the sidewall, I'm sorry, the midpoint of the ski from my fingers to my fingers here, still a little bit capped on top but then transitioning to full cap in the shovel and through the tail of the ski. So that cap allows for, you know, greater maneuverability, quickness, you know, some nice quick energy response when you tip the ski on edge and initiate and finish the turn. In terms of the ProLite construction, they're able to start from the ground up here, build the ski up with the materials that they need, omitting stuff that they don't. And that creates a lighter feel as well as just making the ski more efficient
