It's got a capped construction sidewall so you do get a lot of the grip that you're going to need to learn those skills, but you've got a ton of forgiveness. It's playful, it's a little poppy. It's definitely a 100% frontside ski, but I would definitely recommend this for your beginner into a little bit more really mellow and immediate level
