2021 Arbor Element Black Camber Snowboard Review | Curated

 Today we're testing the Arbor Element Black Camber. Arbor claims this is a great daily

 driver, quiver killer kind of board. Take it anywhere and do anything. Our experts took

 impression of the Arborm Element is that it's a really good all-mountain board. It's really

 stable at high speeds and it's a great carver. This thing turns amazing. It's really easy

 to initiate and it has really good edge hold. The stability and dampness is really, really

 well. The pop is honestly a little lacking. It takes a lot of work to get this board off

 the ground, but in terms of stability, it's great. I think the Arbor Element will be good

 for any all-mountain terrain, just kind of resort riding and even a little bit of off-piste.

 You could probably take it in the park. It would be really good for jumps, but it would

 probably struggle a little bit on rails. I think if you're going into the backcountry

 and charging really steep lines, you're not going to want to ride this. You're probably

 going to want to get something that's more focused towards powder. I absolutely agree

 that this board is the daily driver quiver killer. For most people, you're going to be

 able to ride this board anywhere and have a great time. There's definitely a lot of

 power from the camber. It does have some pop. You can kind of lay into turns with it and

 it's a lot of fun. So it's a directional twin, so you can ride it switch. It's not going

 to feel exactly the same the way that a true twin would ride switch, but totally doable.

 I think this is good for kind of all-mountain resort riding. This wouldn't be the board

 that you'd be taking into the backcountry or necessarily like your dedicated park board,

 just kind of resort riding. It's going to be a great board for that person that just

 wants to run one snowboard and doesn't want to own multiple boards for different conditions

 and styles of riding. It's one that you can take out and kind of get into a little bit

 of everything. I would recommend this board to intermediate to advanced riders that kind

 of want a board that's going to be able to do everything from cruising the park to the

 mountain to even a little bit of powder. I would not recommend this board to beginners

 just because it takes a little bit of work to initiate the turn. And if you're not experienced,

 you could catch an edge pretty easily. This board has pretty responsive camber that when

 you're on flat base can feel sort of catchy if it's something that you're not used to

 or if you're just learning. Arbor does offer this board and pretty much all the boards

 in their lineup in a rocker version, which that would be the model that I would suggest

 for a beginner to ride versus the camber. Snowboards work differently for different

Bought an Arbor Element Black two years ago, ordered the camber and got the rocker. Because it was crazy on sale and also a wide I decided to stick with it, sounds like it's right up your alley. The edge tech allows you to put down a trot when you need to while still staying playful and fun.

Hey all, looking for my first board after renting all last year. East coast rider, ability level a little above a beginner I would think, have the most fun on greens and blues but get down on blacks if that's where my group leads me to.

I come from skateboarding and surfing, I like to cruise around the mountain and just try to keep up with my more experienced friends, not that interested in being a bomber or a precision power rider, so this leads me to be interested in some rocker/hybrid type of cambers

Leading to my question, I am not dead set on an Arbor board but they certainly have some of my favorite designs and what I think would be good boards for me, which leads me to be interested in a Arbor Shiloh Rocker thats on a great deal online currently in a good size for me (163mw, 200lbs, size 12.) 

While I haven't seen a lot of reviews on that board in specific, I was wondering what some experiences in general were with Arbors System Rocker with grip tech.

I believe I would enjoy a rocker setup but do have some concerns on not being that stable and 'washing out', like I said I don't believe I'll become a real hill bomber but would like the assurance of some good edge hold on those not-so-ideal east coast days. Sorry for the long post but wanted to reach out for some assurance before I made my decision, Thanks!

Experiences with Arbor System Rocker?

If you want something that will grip like a mofo, you need full camber + edge tech. Lib Tech TRS C3 or Arbor Element Camber. Those would be my two suggestions.

As the title states, I am currently trying to find a new all-mountain board to replace/supplement my current board which is more powder-oriented. I have been looking at Capita Mercury and Lib Tech T.Rice Pro, but I feel like I am overthinking it way too hard at this point. A bit of background information, I am based in Europe which means that I often face quite icy conditions. Using my current board, I feel like I have a very hard time catching an edge when compared to my friends' boards. A bit of background information: I do not live in a country with mountains, so I get to snowboard 1-2 weeks a year, meaning that I have around 70-80 days of boarding under my belt. I spend most of my time riding groomers, but I will occasionally find myself riding off-piste or in the park. 

What would you guys suggest that I take a look at?

Best All-mountain board for icy conditions?

I want to treat myself to a new snowboard! I own my own boots but always rented a board every year until now (told myself I'd try boards and buy a board I'd like from renting but never actually did that). I ride on the icecoast (mostly Killington, Stowe, Hunter mt). I am probably an intermediate maybe starting to push advance rider, been riding for about 7 years. Can handle majority of blacks. Usually stay out of the park, occasionally will do a jump or box. Any recommendations for the best board and bindings for me? Price is mostly a non-factor. Ideally not more than $500 for the board but I'm just interested in best recommendations. Thank you!
