This year’s model also the fold-down version of the prongs that gives it a lower profile and is much better for carrying in your laptop bag as it doesn’t get caught up in other cords and easily fits into one of the side pockets in my laptop bag.  Amazon has reduced the pricing to a third of what they used to charge for the PowerFast adapters, and they do appear to be built to last: I’ve never had one of the Amazon-branded chargers break as other brands do, I just keep leaving them in random hotels and airports while traveling and have to buy another! If you are looking for a solid and longer-lasting charger for your tablet, I would recommend this one.

Solid Charger

 I bought the one-port two-pack because I seem to be accumulating a lot of USB powered devices these days and wanted to standardize on one that had enough power to be used on any of them. The folding power plug makes it nice for just throwing one in my computer bag too.

I bought this for my iPhone and iPad because my iPad charger/adapter was seemingly having a hard time making a good connection to lightning cables (I later found the cables were the problem). I looked at the specs at Apple.com and saw that the Apple charger that came with my iPad was also approved for my iPhone which was good news as it is more powerful than the one which came with the phone. Apple’s online specification for this, their most universal charger/adapter, is 12 watts

73 for the basic Amazon charger and if it’s close enough to Apple’s, that’s a very good price. I will update the review if it ever fails.  The solution to my issue was to purchase a charging block and be able to only occupy one outlet but charge multiple devices at the same time. I spent about an hour searching and reading reviews and ultimately I settled on the Amazon Basics 60W 6-Port Multi USB Wall Charger because of the positive reviews I read and the claimed ability of the device to charge multiple devices at the same time but still deliver the power needed to charge from all 6 ports at the same time and do this at a reasonable rate. Truth be told, I was skeptical that this charging block would perform well but I I have to admit that my this is one of the best charging blocks I have owned.  As a test, I utilized all 6 ports at one time to see how it would do

 One important note that was a major concern of mine was the heat the charger created while in operation. During the test, I was very happy to find that the charging block did not get hot and from what I observed it only seemed to increase in temperature a few degrees.  To date I have been using the Amazon Basics 60W 6-Port Multi USB Wall Charger for a little over 8 months and it has continued to perform like it did on day 1.  The only thing negative that I could provide regarding the charger is the brightness of the blue led light that indicates that the block is plugged in

 Truth be told, I was skeptical that this charging block would perform well but I I have to admit that my this is one of the best charging blocks I have owned.  As a test, I utilized all 6 ports at one time to see how it would do. My assumption was that the block would fail miserably but I couldn't have been more wrong. The devices that I used for the test were 2 Samsung S7's, a IPhone 6, 2 IPad 4 mini's and a Kindle Paperwhite

Some chargers make a slight whining noise that can be heard in a very quiet room but this charger is completely quiet.  They're probably built by a different company or something. All and all it's a good charger the amazonbasics brand generally always produces quality products. I bought an amazonbasics USB C cord to go with it and have had no issues.
