Alpha-H Liquid Gold

With Alpha-H, they’re hyped because of the Liquid Gold and the Liquid Gold mask. And I found they were excellent.

I don’t have experience with Lush, but I’m a fan of Stratia. They started here on Reddit, and they’re a very science-based skincare company. You might want to try their Liquid Gold.

I love Alpha H and Skinstitut! Currently using Alpha H Liquid Gold a few times a week and Skinstitut Retinol Serum. When my other products run out I want to try a cleanser and moisturiser from these brands.

I have only tried Liquid Gold and I absolutely love it! I just ordered my second bottle a couple of days ago.

Dry but acne prone with some eczema thrown in. I’m from Mugwort essence or Pyunkang Yul essence toner for moisture/calming. Alpha-H Liquid Gold when exfoliating.

If you are super sensitive, I would add an AHA with less strength to your routine first to let your skin get used to it. 15% is quite strong, especially for sensitive skin. I'd consider using something like mandelic acid which is much more milder to introduce your skin to AHA's. Or you could try Alpha H's Liquid Gold which is a 5% glycolic and dilute with a little bit of distilled water to figure out if your skin will tolerate it and then build up.

For me, my top two are Liquid Gold and Soft Touch AHA (I used to get dry patches and small bumps in various areas and this has taken care of them). I do like Rewind and Fortify as well, but am not sure if they are permanent favorites yet (currently trying some Holy Snails serums and various other face oils).

After trying literally hundreds of products, I think the best products are usually around the $20-60 range; anything more than that is usually the brand name, better packaging, and “fancier” ingredients that don’t necessarily produce a better result. If I were to compare to the 7% The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution ($8.70 for 8 oz) and the Alpha-H Liquid Gold ($54 for 3.38 oz), I would say they both work. The TO will eventually get me the same results as the Alpha-H, but it is much more irritating to my skin and I’ll have many more days of flaky skin than if I used my Alpha-H. The Alpha-H will get me smoother skin, smaller-looking pores, and eradicate clogged pores much faster with almost no irritation at all.
