It's difficult to comprehend the market this boot targets. As a work boot it contains no reinforced areas and most likely doesn't meet the minimal OSHA standards. It's not water repellent or insulated so it's worthless in snow. The dainite sole keeps the foot dry in rain but the boots are too dressy...

I actually got them in chilli but Nordstrom sent me the wrong size and was unable to get me the right size in chilli, so after a little convincing I got a pair in brown CXL for the same price I paid for chilli, which was $200. Pretty happy overall, the speed hooks look a little misaligned but not that big of a deal.

Judging by the compliments, these boots look great. After wearing them in for a day or two, they were much more comfortable. The only issue is the smog smell. Which smells like smoke and chemicals, or any large industrial city. After nearly a month of ownership and mild use they still smell strongly...

Try on some Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill. I got mine at a recent sale for around $300 and you can always check for seconds. Last weekend I walked 10+ miles in them through Central Park without any issues. \- they have a super soft insole, feel like walking on clouds (nothing like 1000 Miles or Iron Rangers).

My box came in falling apart, I could forgive some travel damage, but this box was ripped all the way through the seam. The shoes were scuffed and dinged. Beautiful leather, great craftsmanship, but far too damaged for the price.

Way too big for my size 11 feet. Felt like I was wearing a size 12.5. I added Dr. S work get insoles and they fit much better and way more comfortable walking through airports...
