Aimpoint Acro P2 Review

 What is going on ladies and gentlemen, oh that would hurt again.

 Today we have the very nice Aimpoint P2, Acro P2 aka the tactical toaster.

 Two quick things before we get into the tactical toaster here.

 Now before we talk about the specific features of this one, I want to talk about enclosed

 So the advantage here is that the emitter is closed and nothing can get in there.

 Most red dots like this Lupo Delta Point Pro, if something gets in there, dirt, mud, hell

 even water, you could block that emitter, not see that red dot or even just if it's

 Excuse me, that's not going to happen with something like this.

 Typically enclosed red dots are going to be more durable than an open red dot.

 Really this being this is an aim point I wouldn't expect anything less.

 This one here has sacrificial lenses in the front and the back so if the front and the

 I have shot a lot of red dots in my days and this one is really, really nice.

 It has a 3.5 MOA dot and the dot is crisp.

 There's like very little to no distortion in the window here.

 Last weekend when we were at the range, there was dozens of red dots at the range and I

 And by far this was the clearest, the best looking, sharpest, least amount of distortion.

 Now I really like looking through enclosed optics but it's kind of like a little tunnel.

 So if you present and your presentation is not perfect and you don't quite see the dot,

 because of the tunnel, it kind of helps you know how you have to adjust.

 So if you're new to red dots or if you're shooting like dynamically like running, gunning,

 under vehicle, whatever, sometimes that presentation is not perfect and the enclosed window there

 If you're right handed that will be up against your body which is good so they won't accidentally

 A very, very basic plus and minus to increase and decrease the brightness.

 Minus will hold, will turn the red dot off and either button will turn it back on.

 As far as your settings, you have six daytime settings and four night vision settings.

 We just started shooting under nods at my club and I did test this under nods and the

 dot is crispy, clean, looks very, very good.

 Also during the day it's extremely bright.

 Battery, CR2032, you have a side battery compartment here.

 The battery compartment kind of protects the buttons.

 It doesn't like cover them but because it sticks out a little bit more, it'll be less

 likely for those buttons to get accidentally pressed.

 You have a 50,000 hour battery life which is very, very respectable especially because

 this does not have any like shake awake technology.

 This dot is always on and you still get a 50,000 battery life on a medium setting.

 The previous version of this had a terrible battery life.
