Nice Chromebook, but I Returned It
This is probably the best $400 Chromebook on the market right now. Unfortunately, I had to return mine. The display is a nice full HD 1920 x 1080 with bright crisp color. The keyboard is excellent. The trackpad is large and responsive. Browsing the web is very quick. I benchmarked this machine with ...

Acer Chromebook Spin 514 (CP514-1H) review: A slim, durable 2-in-1 ready for work at home or away
The display doesn't get terribly bright, though, and that makes it tough to see past reflections when working outdoors or next to a sunny window..However, if you're looking for a Chromebook that lets you easily connect up to an external monitor and other peripherals at home, school or in the office, the Spin 514 has you covered

Quality build, but limited google support.
I Like the Acer brand. Even their inexpensive products not only have a quality feel to them, but they also last. My last Acer laptop gave me 7 years of trouble free service. I would expect this one to do the same. The track pad does have a slight rattle on the left side. The track pad is amazingly r...

So far, a very nice chromebook!
I've had the Acer Chromebook 514 for about two weeks now, and I am totally pleased with it! After reading about this model at the beginning of the year, I kept watching for it to become available. I was most interested in the backlit keyboard which is such a convenient feature, but I am also finding...

If you're using it solely for typing and browsing on the go like I am, and you have a second laptop or a desktop for more powerful tools this is still fantastic. The 64 gbs of internal storage could be an issue for some but I have Google One and this isn't a concern at all for me.
Love it ! Update:
I have only had this Acer Chromebook for 2 days, (it's my first chromebook), but the set up took maybe 4 mins. So far I think it will fit my needs, checking emails and surfing the net, and of course ordering from Amazon. It is a more expensive Chromebook, but I wanted a lighted keyboard. I still hav...

Love it, though not Zoom friendly
I love this laptop functionality and quickness to power up! Although I bought it to use the background feature of Zoom. Google Meet works far better than Zoom. On Zoom, my video freezes and audio is fuzzy. So I use Chrome book to view and my phone for audio.

The speakers are quite loud. I'd probably only use them for watching video while in the kitchen. If I wanted to follow a show, I'd use earbuds. Overall, I am really happy with this laptop and if you can get a deal on it like I did, jump at it.

Great for the Money! IMO it is the best value going in Chromebook today.
I will start with the best assets of this Chromebook. The track-pad is gorilla glass and it is as good as my old macbook pro, which is Great. The keyboard is very good, not great, but very good. It may be a small step below the macbook pro. The screen is a mat screen and not reflective at all which ...

Finish and build quality lacking
The trackpad is not solidly integrated in the notebook. When tapping or touching the trackpad it rattles and moves very annoyingly. It seems to get worse and worse with time.
