This ski is cambered underfoot with early rise in the tip and tails and then it has an aspen maple core with carbon stringers so it has that really light construction but it has the stiffness to really support you when you need it. Over the last few years I’ve done 4 weeks skiing in France and Andorra and I’ve only used rental skis and boots. I’m going to get some boots fitted from a boot fitter (ski exchange in Cambridge) - but I’d love some advice on potential skis to look at.

2022 4Frnt Switch Ski Review - Newschoolers Ski Test

 The Switch is the brand new park and all-mountain ski from Forefront.

 It's built like a park ski, with an aspen maple core and carbon stringers for pop.

 A generous amount of camber on her foot makes the ski even poppier.

 It's a light ski too, with low swing weight for the width.

 It's aimed at freestyle minded skiers looking to ski more than just park.

 The tip and tail rocker provide float and soft snow, and the tighter turn radius means

 it pivots quickly so you can surf around the hill with ease.

 Forefront Switch, for a new ski they're pretty sweet.

 A little stiff, but they handle in the park and all over the mountain really well.

 Hard snow doesn't matter, they'll take it all.

I'm 16, from 5'9 1/2" to 5'10", and around 150 pounds.

Live in the PNW, specifically skiing Summit at Snoqualmie (usually Central, not good enough to bother going to Alpental yet. We (my family) generally try to take 1 trip per year, usually to Packwood for White Pass or Bend for Bachelor. I try to get as many days as possible but since up to this season I've been limited by my parent's schedules, I doubt I've ever got more than even 10. For college I'm planning on staying on the west coast, so these skis could be used in Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Washington, and Oregon, with a maybe on California and Nevada.

Probably a completely intermediate skier, but I like skiing fast and throwing the skis around instead of actually laying them down and carving. Especially considering by the time I get up there(I have a half day during the school week which we usually go up on so we get there in the afternoon), the snow is usually pretty slushy considering the resort. 

Really just hoping for something that I can ski hard if needed, light enough to throw them sideways to stop and slow down, while still being heavy enough to not get swept out from under me in the chop/ crud I regularly have to ski if it isn't warm enough. Always skied groomers because I've always been skiing with my parents, so I have practically 0 experience in trees, steeps, any side or backcountry, or powder, but I am looking to change both how many days I ski and the terrain I ski. 

Currently looking at the:

Dynastar M Free 99

Moment Wildcat 101

Moment Deathwish 104

With the most promising seeming to be the M Frees. Really just want the best fit though. Thanks for any help, sorry for the length. If you need any more info, lmk.

All mountain/one ski quiver skis in the PNW.

 I was sad I didn’t get the 170 because the 163 was too small. I almost feel like I was I.

Anyone use the switch last year?  Would be curious the thoughts beyond the blister reviews. 

I’m thinking about pulling the trigger this year and moving away from my rustler 10’s.  Looking for something that’s light and easy to play around on all over the mtn but can still inspire confidence on steeps.  I know I’ll be sacrificing some charging but want to be able to go off every side hit and do a couple park laps (jumps no rails). Also considering the bent 100 (or 90 and keep my rustler 10s) but the switch looks to have more to stability + smaller brand that I’d prefer to support.

6’1, 195-200 lb athletic advanced skier. Mostly ski CO or UT.  Getting older and need fun + easy when I’m going with the kids.

Haven’t kept up to date with the new gear so I’m open to suggestions as well.

All Mountain / Park ski for marginal conditions

Hey y'all! Was hoping I could get some help and guidance on models to check out for my style/level of skiing.

For starters, I am 165 pounds, 5'5" (~75kg and ~1.65m), and an adult skier. I mostly ski park, but really enjoy downhill skiing. Preferably, I would like to get a full twin tip pair of skis that can let me do both. I am an advanced downhill skier and a beginner/intermediate in park (don't do anything too crazy, small/medium jumps and grinds on boxes, trying to improve a bit). Hoping to spend ~$400, but don't know how realistic that is. I am a U.S. East Coast skier. Trying to graduate from a pair of 2012 K2 Presses.

I've been having a hell of a time finding any pair of skis that are the right length and I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Thanks so much for taking your time to read this!
