We tested out four child-size guitars for this review, and the Yamaha JR1 was our favorite by far. Featuring a classic spruce top and sturdy craftsmanship, it's attractive and is the perfect compact size for a young player or even for a travel guitar. We were also pleasantly surprised by the fullness and clarity of the sound achieved from its smaller body. Steel strings will inevitably come with a bit of a learning curve for small hands, but the Yamaha's strings felt soft and pliable compared to the full-sized guitars we tested and will make for a great first guitar experience. Included with this petite guitar was the most robust accessory kit of all, including all the standard tools, plus a capo, a pick holder, and a string winder-- all handy gadgets. There was also some padding on the included case. 
In our testing, we found that all the miniature guitars had pretty glaring intonation problems. The Yamaha was not an exception to this rule, but it was more accurate than the rest, and we found that when it was tuned to itself rather than to an e-tuner, the intonation sounded more spot-on. This may just be an inconsistency that comes along with the shortened neck and shrunken body of mini-guitars. This case also isn't as convenient to carry because it lacks backpack straps.

Best Starter/Kids Guitars (JR1, JR2, APXT2) from Yamaha!

 I recommend the Seagull S6 if you're partial to inexpensive guitars made in North America, or if they're really getting good go for a solid top Martin, Taylor, or Gibson, etc. Shy away from often-times shiny, colorful guitars like Ibanez, Dean, and even Fender. They sound thin and boxy in person, and even thinner plugged in.

 For the value - the JR1 (some call it the FG Junior) is hands down, the best. The baby Martins have a cardboard tone (I believe some are even made of a composite material - yuck). Baby Taylor's sound very nice, but they're about 100+ bucks more, and they don't sound 100 dollars better. These sound great and play well for their size and price

The Best Reasonable Option For Small-framed Players

 It had plays really nice as well and it projects very very well for such a small instrument. you. as I mentioned before, the Jr1 is a three quarter scale guitar. That is the distance from the nut to the bridge saddle is 3/4 the distance of Yamaha full-scale acoustic guitars

 So here's the Rollin FP 30 Thank you so much for watching again! Here's a an instrument that is quite ideal for people who are either just starting out wanting to keep the price point low I'd say it also works really well for professional musicians that this compared to another one of the other two you know, Yamaha P 125 or ES 110 for whatever reason and you don't need a reason other than it's your own preference, You like just a slightly crisper, slightly sharper tone. Overall, it isn't too warm in it and it cuts through really nicely. I Think that's where the FP 30 really shines. A nice clear, crisp tone, very forgiving action, and generally an all-round versatile instrument for a very attractive price point

And of course we're going to be going over sort of the critical features that differentiate this from some of the other ones in the marketplace. and we are going to get started for sure with the number one topic that I always choose to focus on. which is the action as piano players, how it connects to us

 I'm never going to play chamber music, it's more to learn + practice in my room during quarantine. If I ever were to play for anybody it would be a recording. There is barely any price difference between the two options locally (FP-10 = 760, P125 = 850) so that isn't a worry. Listening to the FP-**30** vs the P125 I preferred the sound of the FP-**30** (it's like 1

Need help choosing between the two. From the research I've done, FP-10 wins out of replicating the feel of an acoustic piano, and the P125 wins out on sound.  Ive had a Motif 8, Triton Pro X 88, and most recently the Yamaha KX-8 (got it used for like 300 like 10 years ago). I was going to splurge and get an expensive keyboard, for the "feel". I was eying the RD-2000, Korg Grandstage, Roland FP-90X, Nord Piano 4 etc. I thought I was going to have to pay at minimum around 2000 to get into the nice keybed space (PHA-50, RH3 etc)

This is my dream come true (a top-line keybed for lowest price possible). The oboard sounds are pretty ass, but I dont use on-board sounds, dont sequence on the keyboard, dont need a built in audio/midi-usb device, dont need "bluetooth" connections, dont need onboard speakers, etc. Just give me the nice 88-key keybed with a midi out, and I am golden. I cant believe this is real
