 I'Ve never needed to leave something unattended for more than i've, never left anything for that long unattended. Ever but let's say you did it's: how much more time would you need than that? So if it's an issue, i don't really know how big of an issue it is, and i just want to make sure that i covered that in the performance section as well. Let'S have a look at the smokefire's features, the feature that sticks out to me, the most is the operating system that comes built in the weber, connect app that comes with the grill. The grill itself is wi-fi and bluetooth enabled and the app is powered by the june operating system, which is about as good as it gets

Now, when you're, looking at a pellet grill like this one, there's their cooking grids, measured in at six millimeters thick now for a pellet grill, that's perfectly fine!  As far as performance goes, the grill itself rocks steady all night long for low and slow.  I really, i believe, all of them should to to basically that that fire seal that will that will close, that off on the on the interior of the box. For the lid um, i was actually surprised the other day i was at lowe's, and i saw that the latest uh pit boss elite platinum actually had that um. They actually went through the effort of putting a fire seal all the way around which tends to mimic what you see on most of your commercial smokers, uh and tournament, grills and stuff, like that, so i was. I was very excited to see that i that's something that i've been preaching for a while, and i hope that i hope that other grill brands will catch on to that and they will follow suit

 That goes all the way into this hole and that drops down into here now. That sounds great in theory, but here's the problem, you see all this whale dust right here or not. Welded. Excuse me the pellet dust right here

 This is an add-on. This is add-on extra and the side shelf as well. This is kind of a good and they bad, so the bad is is when you first buy this, you don't get those pieces, so the only food prep area you've got is this, and personally i find it pitiful. It seems to be the smallest of any grill smoker combo that i've actually run across and that's kind of a bummer

 This pull lever, i'm not going to pull it out now, but it basically drops out of the bottom. It'S always nice to have a a pellet shoot so that you can change out your pellets relatively quickly to a different flavor. I do that quite often um here lately, i've been using uh, some charcoal flavored pellets to do most of my my steak and grilling with and then i'm swapping between hickory apple and cherry for most of my smoking stuff. Something else that i want to mention also, that is a a like of mine - is the add-on shelf space, and i want to make sure that that i differentiate that this does not come with the grill

If there is any wind at all, the grill's temperature control is awful, and will likely not be able to hit its maximum-rated 600 degrees

  Overall, this grill is not worth the price. Weber needs to go back to the drawing board. Maybe in the next iteration it'll be worthy of the Weber name, but right now, it's a hard pass. Returned

 This grill is quite heavy and having a handle on both ends makes it easy to maneuver and handle. 2) The steel drip tray needs a better design to guide the grease drippings directly into the external spout that the drip bucket hangs on. The steel drip tray on this Pro Series 575 deposits grease falling into a channel from front to back inside the grill with very little of the drippings going into the spout exiting the grill that the drip bucket hangs on. This creates high maintenance mess inside the grill making it harder to clean

Easy to use with great results, but not without some maintenance cleaning issues!

Bought a Traeger Pro 575 in April. Loved it. Made a ton of good chow. Recommended to friends and family

Enraged from Broken Traeger after only 4 months

I have had a PRO 575 for 4 months now and the thing can’t hold a temp below 200. When set there it will run 40-50 degrees over and really doesn’t seem to be able to stay at or below 200. I’ve already replaced the thermocouple and controller and that hasn’t fixed anything. Traeger support said it’s a software issue, but they have no timeline for when it will get fixed

Considering the premium you’ll have to pay anyways getting it imported, I think the Timberline is a good value. Traegers are great easy to use grills, so you’re on the right track there. 

I should preface this by saying I'm based in the UK. I, of course, love smoked BBQ. It's not a very popular thing here in the UK, so I would like to convert friends and family. I host a monthly poker game with a few friends, normally comprising of about 9-12 players which need feeding so I thought the Timberline 1300 was a good size for that...

The choices here are very limited - I don't like that I'd be spending £2500 on a smoker, stings a little more knowing it's only $1999 in North America.... but at the same time, if it's great value for the money and it's able to last me 10 years then I'd be ok with it. This would be my one and only smoker.

I guess what I'm really after is confirmation bias... or for someone to say there's better smokers for less money...

Traeger Timberline 1300 for first smoker?

Update: I was partially incorrect. The controller temp is typically 25-40 degrees cooler than what the ambient temperature actually reads (I purchased a third party probe). So as long as you increase the temp by that amount to make up for it, it does maintain that temp really well. I updated my review to four starts

 Traeger shipped me a new controller and it made no difference.  The thermocoupler (heat probe) location is the worst location you can put it. You'll have a hard time not banging into it when putting the bottom grill grate in and out.  The hopper clean out should have at least been on the side of the box, not on the back

  RESEARCH AND GOOGLE TRAEGER PRO 575 BEFORE BUYING  This grill cannot maintain low temperatures. You want to use this thing for "low and slow" cooks. When you set it to low temps (below 300 in my experience), it rockets to temperatures much higher than you set the controller to. See pic
