Watershed Colorado Insert- SolGear Duffel Review

 They are 3 times the price but I have friends that have been using them on rivers for over 10 years and they still are in great condition. I know that the military uses these extensively and that they pass the Navy's test for dryness. My photographer buddy trust these bags even over pelican boxes for his expensive camera stuff. I will never buy another brand dry bag and I am slowly replacing my entire supply of dry bags

they are not and they usually say in the fine print that they are not submersible

 I've found that the combo of two Colorado Watershed bags is the perfect size to hold all of my personal gear for 1-3 week long river trips. I thought about getting the Mississippi size bag, but I'm glad I went with 2 Colorado sized bags instead because (1) easier to carry, and (2) easier to fit in rafts and vehicles.

To be honest, this is a really good bag that is durable and will last a very long time. I wish I could rate it 5 stars because the bag was very comfortable, even when carrying plenty of things. Unfortunately, the zipper pulls were the biggest factor in me returning the bag. The zippers were just very annoying to deal with

 It’s a big bag and if it’s not full, would be nice to be able to cinch it tighter. All that to say, if it’s the only bag you are traveling with and you don’t need to access it on an airplane, it might be ok. I ended up returning it and am sticking with my old northface overhaul 40.

I bought this bag for a secondary travel carry on. I fly over 100k miles a year for work and was looking to replace one of my carry ons. I bring a roller bag and a backpack. This bag has a slot to attach to a roller bag so I thought it would work well

Durable but not convenient

8'L by 10.2'W would not fit in the laptop sleeve. 10' seems to be the maximum width unless you are willing to tear/cut the opening. So I ended up taking up space in the main compartment using my laptop's sleeve to protect it

 I think these guys did a fantastic job designing an excellent carry-on travel bag. If you use the guide card and the online video, anyone can learn to have a well-organized bag. Being that well organized would be a significant worthwhile learning experience for me. That will make traveling so much more relaxing

The Laptop sleeve of this excellent carry-on bag has an absolute width limit of 10 inches

 It makes it weird to peek inside of there. And In combination with this thing being super stiff, you kind of have to open it up completely, like that, to just get inside of this bag and get anything you want. It's harder to just like, quick, grab your hand in there and grab something. At The time of this review, we've been testing the Nomatic Travel Bag in cities like Joshua Tree, Los Angeles, Detroit, Minneapolis, and New York City

 The Travel Bag features a very thick handle at the top here, just to kind of grab it and hang it on stuff and bring it around. Then, you have a thinner handle on the bottom. I Kind of wish they would've just taken this padding on each side and sort of just evened it out. So, the bottom one had a little bit more padding, but the top one maybe had a little less so it wasn't so bulky

 On To some of the cons: - the laptop positioning isn't ideal for access or carry. The Duffel and shoulder strap system is a little bit clunky in practice. And The pack is seemingly trying to do too much. We Wish they simplified it a little bit and just focused on a couple of things, versus trying to throw everything and the kitchen sink into the design

 And With all of this testing, we were able to look at all those smart and conceptual features, and overall found that a couple of them didn't really work as well. in practice than they did from a logical perspective. So To wrap this thing up with the pros and cons: - for a pro, this thing is definitely maximum legal-sized carry-on. That Rectangular shape allows you to have a lot of room inside of the pack for all of your stuff
