 I just keep waking up when I'm doing that. I think I snore too much Anna wakes me up so lying on. My side are more comfortable and the nice thing about that is. It has a place for me to put a blow-up mattress zippers on this

I am set up in the South for tea in my hammock and my top, and if you haven't seen my top video, the DD hammocks 3x3 I'll put a link up here, have a look at it and check it out. It'S a really nice talk, let's decide at the top flip it over there, so you can see a little better and we'll have a look at my hammock. It'S the war bonnet so, like I said, I'm in the South for tea and I'll put my hammock and top up, and I thought hey the hammock with you

 It also acts as a a warm place to lie in, especially when these you've got a slight breeze. It gets a little cool at night that helps you insulate. So that's a nice feature and you can put it in there now. The other thing is: is that it's pretty wide and it allows me to sleep on my side and having the blow-up mattress underneath makes it even better

 I really like this and it's well thought out. It comes with a bug net built in and you can open it fully on one side and it has built-in shelves on on the actual hammock that allows you to stretch it out and have a little shelf inside the hammock, where you can put your your valuables Or like I do is, I will put my knife there, a book. If I'm reading, I can put it there when I'm done reading or anything else you want to put there. It comes with a built in Ridgeline right sure in the hammock, which is handy to have

Warbonnet Blackbird Hammock - The original and still my favorite

 Being a bigger guy, sleeping on the ground never really worked for me. I’m a side sleeper and always woke up with a sore hip or back. A hammock seemed like the obvious answer.I stated taking a simple parachute travel hammock on day hikes, setting it up on summits and along the trail for nice lunchtime breaks

 The double layer holds the pad in place perfectly.Lying in the hammock is super comfortable; side tie outs pull the hammock open giving you plenty of room.  One tie out pulls a ‘shelf” away from the hammock giving you a place to store light items for easy access inside the hammock. At the foot end sewn in is a foot box giving you a place to put your feet helping with a flat lay or just giving you place for your feet without pressure on them

 I decided it was time to take it one-step further and start looking for a hammock for overnights. I had a few “must haves” in my new hammock.  First it had to be built tough and able to hold 300 pounds plus. Second I needed a bug net, built in would be better

  Great stitching, no loose threads, top quality work here.  I could not wait to try it out.  I went car camping that weekend to try it out.  Setup was easy I had the hammock up in less than 5 minutes and the tarp up in a couple more

 It comes with a bug net installed, its got a shelf,  and fit box,  its what ive been using for 5 or 6 years now. The bug net  stretches across the shelf making the headroom nice and wide with a high ceiling. I demo this in one of my hammock canning videos.   Site selection is easier because the trees can be closer, but they can be a pain to get untied in the morning.

But the bottom line is to pick something and don't sweat it.  Get out there and have fun.  Confidence and informed opinion will follow.

Open to buying used. Looking for a lightweight setup to backpack for miles on end, so want to keep weight down. I'm 5'9/160lbs.

- Fabric: New cloud 71 i'm not sure if I trust. Debating Hexon 1.0 stuff or MTN 1.2.
- Size: 11' for sure. Debating if wide is worth it for the comfort since I have trouble sleeping. Need netted because I am in lyme disease country and I'm not risking going without.
- Tarp: Have no idea what to do here. Silpoly seems cheap, durable, and compact, but heavier than DCF. What size? Asym? Doors? Most torn on this. Any cheap dyneema line for hanging it?
- Suspension: All of the suspension stuff seems SO fussy to me, but I'm having trouble sleeping on a ground pad. Whoopie slings seem to not work when you have trees close together because you can't pull in enough slack. Could just use a beckett hitch, but have not attempted this. Tree huggers vs wraps?

Tips appreciated, esp from those who have tried multiple setups and settled on something you found that worked well.

Review of Warbonnet Blackbird Double Layer Hammock w/ Superfly Tarp

I'm planning to purchase my first hammock camping setup.  I've done a fair amount of backpacking with a tent, and I've just never slept well.  I'm hoping that I'll be able to get more rest in a hammock, though I haven't actually tried it.  We have an Eno for lounging in the back yard, but it's not really meant for diagonal lay sleeping

  I want to purchase a hammock, suspension, tarp, and underquilt and keep it as light as my tent setup which comes up to around 4.6 pounds (Marmot Tungsten + Thermarest Prolite).  I'm fortunate to not be worried too much about cost, but of course I don't want to just throw away money.  My primary concerns are comfort, warmth, and weight

6oz HyperD, 1.7oz MTN, or 1.8oz Airwave?  Is there any benefit in going to double-layer for better wind protection, warmth, and firmer lay?  If it doesn't provide wind protection and warmth, should I just go to a heavier fabric for a firmer lay?

 You could use a single layer hammock, but if should squeeze is an issue you might want to step up to a heavier weight fabric such as 2.2 or 2.4.

I also prefer a hammock that is atleast 62 inches wide. Anything more narrow than that and I feel squeezed in. It can sometimes be tricky to find wide hammocks in heavier weight fabric, but Dream hammock does sell them. I think all of Dutch's wide hammocks are 1

I'm also looking at the chinook system they have of a under layer to hold a quilt and over layer to replace bugnet. 

Does anyone have any ideas for big guy stuff. Or other hammock systems I should look at? I like the idea of getting a system from one place, it will all hopefully zip together.

.  I just upgraded and got a dream hammock sparrow that arrived to me a month ago. I got both the overcover and bug net, both which zip into the sides of the hammock (only one at a time, not both at same time), which I really like.

I figured I’d get a jumpstart on this season so I went to EMS Nashua NH and looked around at what they had in stock. A helpful sales person told me they stocked Eno hammocks.  I bought one and took it home to try out.

Further reading here tells me that I need tarp, a tarp line, an under quilt and straps to get really started properly.  

Eno doesn’t seems to have a the rest of these as a package for me to buy.  

Should I start piecing this stuff together on my own? 

How does a bug net attach to this hammock without any kind of zippers or attachment points?
