* As close to 55\*40\*23 cm as possible since this is intended as a carry on one bag travel bag. I usually bring a lot of crap, so it has to be quite big, but still be possible to carry on. * Preferably load lifters (I have a Wandrd Prvke 31 liters which I've been traveling with, and load lifters would've been great to have). * At least one pocket for a water bottle (preferably one that is easy accessible from the outside of the bag, but if there is an internal pocket that might suffice as well)

Just be sure the camping gear is stuff you would be comfortable using. You might try the WANDRD PRVKE 41L or shimoda pack or a https://www.wandrd.com/products/fernweh (However at 50L there is a risk of having to check it)

Pretty much, I'm trying to pack for RTW travel that would include both hiking, remotely working with laptop, and fitting in a carry-on; and I don't know how to look for advice from people that have done the same.

<p>EDIT: I should have added a few major details:</p>

<li>my these 40+10L still don&#39;t account for  outside stretchy pockets , where I coul stuff things outside the airport as well. One big pocket could certainly fit a tent, a puffy jacket and a medkit</li>
<li>my tent is frameless, uses 1 trekking pole. I do expect this to be the largest butt-hurt and will either send that pole + stakes separately or will get new ones. Either way, I expect to move on land much more than by plane.</li>

I recently gave the Wandrd Prvke a trail run because I had heard good things, I hated it. My main turnoff of the Prvke is the roll top. I just can't do it. The comfort just isn't it either

WANDRD PRVKE 21L | The main compartment can be subdivided into lower and upper portions.

The lower half of the shoulder straps is dedicated to rails for the sliding sternum strap—our favorite kind because of how granular the adjustment is. It’s a shame our sample didn’t come with one, though the 21-liter daypack volume of this version doesn’t necessitate one. There are also loops for attaching a waist strap, but again, they’re really not a must-have at this capacity. Despite the difference in sizing, it’s nice to know that the larger cube can get the job done if you prefer the Deep but have the 21L backpack

There are two ways to access the main compartment; via the rolltop or through the clamshell opening. As a rolltop, the PRVKE 21L’s volume is expandable; thus, the beefy G-hook is length-adjustable, and there are two sets of hook-side velcros on the front side where the strips of loop-side velcros at the back can attach to. This is fine for quick but partial access to the main compartment. For full access, though, clamshell access is the way to go

WANDRD PRVKE 31 Reivew - One of the Best Travel Backpacks Available

Mini backpack for women, ideal for leisure and sports. This Rains backpack is equipped with equipment suitable for every sport, combining technology and comfort in every garment while maintaining impeccable style. Material: 50% polyurethane, 50% polyester.

 I was a little concerned about the bottom wearing through from, say, a sharp 3-pound Macbook rubbing against it constantly but it does seem rugged so I am not so worried. All things considered, this is a great stylish backpack and super for when the emphasis is on style and not functionality, though it is functional enough for me. The snap-hook closure for the main flap is novel and I like it. I deduct a half star for the minor issues and round up to five stars

 I would not go over 5 pounds total. The strap length adjustment for the main flap over the backpack is difficult to adjust but with time I did it. The magnetic clasps for the main flap are stronger than I would like so I keep the protective plastic film on the clasps to make them "weaker". The bottom is not cushioned and I expected that, but I may buy an insert to provide more protection

A good value for a great looking small backpack

  CONS: - Holes in the straps don't go small enough. I think I'll have to add my own at some point for a slightly tighter fit. - The clasp is unintuitive. I think it's supposed to be easier to clasp, but that ends up making it harder to get unclasped

 Appropriate in most casual settings as well as for work. I wouldn't bring it to a black tie wedding, but most occasions short of that. - Comfortable for long stretches, even when I have my laptop inside. - Waterproof as it gets without being rolltop

Many pros, a few cons

 It might be nice for the straps to be slightly tighter and for the bag to sit slightly higher when I bike, but it works fine as is.  The only concern I had when purchasing was worry that the straps would be uncomfortable, but I've found them to be fine. Of course not as comfortable as a thick gel padded strap, but they don't dig or irritate me in any way like I had expected they might, and I've carried some fairly heavy things inside.

I have been using this bag for the last two weeks and I love it--it fits just as much as the previous bag I had been using while confining it to a much narrower profile. The structured shape of the bag allows you to stack things in a way that keeps the bag slim and polished looking instead of bulky/sloppy like most backpacks. Great bag for commuting

While I purchased this backpack because I bike to work, it arrived with a tear on exterior border ribbing. Not substantial enough to wait for a return (shipped from overseas) and again, a shipment back, but disappointing, nonetheless.

Wanted to love it...

 I like it. The little pocket inside as well as the backside of the backpack or super convenient. The backpack secures with a clasp which is nice so people won’t be able to open easily if I’m on public transit.
