Replaced my old Bubba Keg, (now the Broil King Steel Keg) after it rusted out, with this grill. I have had no problems with it and it seems to work as good as the BGE. Love the air flow vents, and the pull out tray that catches the ash. The little flip up door for the electric starter seemed to be of no use to me until I tried it

Best bang for the buck

I’ve had this grill for 2 years and I can’t say enough about the efficiency and ease that it smokes, grills and sears meats. Best grill by far that I have ever purchased. More importantly, there is a life time warranty on the grill to boot!

 This one got all warped out of shape within the first few weeks. I had to take it off and hammer it back into shape. Fourth the thermoplastic shelves don't seem to have any resistance at all to heat.

 The temperature control is stellar and this is the only unit on the market with an setup for an electric charcoal igniter which is a hugely convenient feature. The finish of this unit is gorgeous. There however are a few points on which they could be improved. First the main grill is set almost 2 inches below the rim which complicates working with spatulas and doing things like setting a pizza on a stone with a peel

 Fourth the thermoplastic shelves don't seem to have any resistance at all to heat...which is kind of weird on a BBQ

So this is my second vision grill. First was a medium and this one is a large. The temperature control is stellar and this is the only unit on the market with an setup for an electric charcoal igniter which is a hugely convenient feature. The finish of this unit is gorgeous

Overall Very Happy

 The Kamado was still 200°F , I opened the vents and within 15min the temperature raised to 400°F, cooked the pizza for 20min, closed the vents and 4 hours later, the Kamado was still at 200°F. At the following day I checked the charcoal and still had about 1lb. Incredible, well you have to consider here in Panamá the average temperature is 86°F. I wrote this extensive review because of the awesome experience, now I am planning to sell the Weber Smokey mountain

 An advice well known about this type of grills is to be aware of the initial temperature because if you raise it to much they keep the heat for a long time and lowering it down takes a lot of time, so my advice is to start with 200°F or 250°F and then raise it up using the vents until you get the desire temperature. After you get to that point to keep it is easy since the ceramic holds really well the heat, some minor adjustments in vents will be needed every hour to keep it cooking. Now let's talk about Vision Grills CF1F1 Pro Kamado BBQ, since I live in Panamá City my Kamado was bought here for $899. Doing some research, it seems to be a factory in China that builds a generic ceramic grills and supply to other brands like Monolith, Grilla Grills Kong, Pit Boss Kamado BBQ and Vision Grills, the heart of the ceramic grill is almost the same for all of them with some minor differences

Awesome experience

  COOKING - Due to the nature of this grill's design with the ash drawer and vent dials all in one air leaks are somewhat unavoidable. This is not a set it and forget it style of cooker when going low and slow. I find that my digital pit thermometer will read around 230-240 degrees average with some slight gaps left in the top and bottom vents. Roughly 3-4 pounds of lump will cook for 9 hours with some wood chunks for flavor

 DON'T USE LIGHTER FLUID EVER IN A CERAMIC GRILL!!!!!  Purchased through my local Home Depot for $699.00 mid April 2015 (Length of ownership +1 month). I have used gas grills for years and wanted to enjoy the taste of real burning charcoal and wood. However, I have been pleased with my Vision Grill and their customer service

TLDR: Save money and buy from Home Depot or local retailer. Cooks great food as long as you have the patience to let the coals settle. Vision customer service rocked when I had a broken top band for the lid by over-nighting me the replacement part. This grill's price vs other ceramic grills on the market is a great, for a great outdoor cooking product

 I know there are plenty of reviews out there on the PK360, but I thought I'd offer my take on it.

 For the record, I haven't been paid, bribed or coerced in any way into making this video.

 I'm just a barbecue enthusiast with a love of cooking over smoke and fire and an appreciation for good design.

 I bought the PK360 online without seeing one up close in person from the good people at Pro Smoke Barbecue.

 So I recommend you go and check them out.

 Now, if like me, you live miles from your nearest PK dealer, definitely keep watching as I'll give you a detailed overview and a closer look at the PK360.

 Before we begin, for all you fellow barbecue geeks out there, let me set the scene with a quick backstory to the evolution of PK grills.

 In the early 1950s, Hilton Maggs of Tyler, Texas made what many considered to be the perfect charcoal barbecue grill.

 He designed and manufactured a cast aluminium grill and smoker, calling it the Portable Kitchen, and sold it out of the back of his car in the American Mid-South.

 The company was purchased from Maggs in 1958 and manufacturing moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where it remained until fire and business issues stopped production in the mid-1970s.

 No PK grills were produced for nearly three decades, but the durability of this charcoal grill ensured that thousands still existed in perfect working order.

 Then in 1998, local attorney and grill enthusiast Paul James discovered a portable kitchen charcoal grill and smoker at a yard sale.

 As I purchased my PK online, it was shipped on a pallet in two separate boxes.

 Right out of the box, this thing is solid. The quality and engineering of the PK360 is very impressive.

 The cooking capsule is formed out of a top and a lower cast shell.

 These are precision injected moulded cast aluminium, finished to a high level and feel reassuringly heavy.

 Aluminium is not only light and durable, it conducts heat two and a half times more efficiently than cast iron and four times more than steel.

 This means that heat is distributed more evenly throughout the cooking capsule.

 I felt no rough edges, just smooth, precision cast aluminium.

 Rather than the circular design as seen with traditional kettle style grills, the PK360 is more of a rounded rectangle.

 This allows for a two zone cooking configuration without needing to insert ceramic dividers to block or channel heat as with some other grills.

 The hinge design securing the top and lower casting is simple but very secure and enables you to easily remove the top if needed and does away with a separate hinge mechanism.

 The PK360 has a four point venting system for precision air control and heat management.
