Refresh Rate

Going from an older TN to a newer IPS. Not happy with gaming performance.
He suggests few 1440p midrange Monitors as alternatives like the LG 27GL850 or the Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD and Pixio PX7 Prime. If you are willing to go back to 1080p, go for a 240hz monitor and most likely it will have very good response time and less overshoot than average at all refresh rates almost close to TN performance, I'd recommend the MSI Optix Mag251rx or the Dell Alienware AW2521HF, both are 1080p and both have a whooping refresh rate of 240hz, either of them will get you very good performance with very little tweaking to the modes (AW2521HF for example works great on fast mode at both max refresh rate and at the lower end of 60hz). If you are hell bent on sticking with 1440p I'd recommend also checking some highend IPS Monitors like the ASUS ROG Strix XG279Q 27” (with 170hz refresh rate and costs around $850) or the beast that is the Dell Alienware AW2721D (when it's avaliable, it used to be $1000 but it recently dropped to $700 on Amazon then immediately went out of stock, and for a good reason), it's a 27" monitor with 1440p IPS panel with Gsync Ultimate (Nividia chip) and 240hrz refresh rate as well as HDR 600, if you have the money to spare and want the best possible performance IPS panels has to offer I'd look out for this one (watch some reviews and tests as well to be sure). Make sure whenever you are about to buy any new monitor to check it's review and specifically the response time/overshoot chart at max refresh rate and at 60hz on https://www
