ViewSonic XG270 vs Dell S3220DGF

The main difference is the size. I recommend XG270 instead of AW2720HF and XG2431 instead of XB253Q GX. They have really good blur reduction implementations and are otherwise similar. VG259QM is also good if you just want a fast monitor

I think the 32 inch is Big enough, but not too big where it becomes too big It's I think 32 is about as as big as I want to go It's still comfortable ...

Personally though, there's no *perceptible* difference between my unit's contrast ratio and my XG270, which was rated at >1000:1 by RTINGS. But like RTINGS said, YMMV.

I'm kind of new in this field and after some research I have decided that I would like to buy a new monitor in the 144Hz - 1440P range. For me the most important thing is the contrast ratio - I am currently on a budget LG 24MK400H-B, which is a TN panel that has poor contrast..

Like I said though I'm not an expert on this stuff guys I can only really tell you what my eyes are seeing but yeah I love it it's now sort of joined ...

G-sync is pretty awesome, but the difference from a solid smooth 60 fps to 120 fps + was not nearly as revolutionary as everyone on the internet has led me to believe. And I still think a rock solid 60 fps looks fantastic. Anyways, the overall design of this monitor is great, and playing games on it is really enjoyable. But none of it was the revolutionary step forward that I'd never be able to return to 60 fps from, my LG OLED at 4k 60fps is a truly majestic beast, and next year I'll get the newer g-sync compatible LG OLED version and have the BEST OF ALL WORLDS!!! Muahahahahah

Using it for a while for productivity purpose related to typing text such in overleaf, programming editors etc. Sharpnesses should be improved as eyes strain even when following best practises. The UX design concerning the buttons at the bottom to adjust screen brightness etc is poor.

To solve this problem, I'll wear my prescription sunglasses, but I've discovered the polarity of this monitor is turned in such a way that the sunglasses causes the monitor image to be completely black unless I tilt my head 90 degrees. This makes the monitor completely useless at the start of my work day. Also, as others have mentioned, the out of box color accuracy profile is quite terrible, but fairly easy to solve. All in all, once the color profile is fixed, when I can wear my normal glasses, and I don't see the backbleed 95% of the time, it's a good monitor, but not great / excellent

I find the professional monitors (AsusPB328Q) do a much better job with dark scenes. As a matter of fact, so does my TCL 6 series tv which is also a VA panel. This dell monitor makes dark scenes look even darker, no matter how you tweak brightness and contrast, you cannot see the detail in dark scenes. Now, let’s go back to the color problem

I might also give this 5-stars if the customer service gave quicker replies/service. In my mind, they could definitely move a bit quicker on their customer service end.

Now in this case HDR is not going to blow you away since the monitor only supports the basic HDR400 standard with maximum brightness rated at 400 nits...

The TN-like response times are swift. It has very good motion blur reduction (when it does work). I hope that ViewSonic puts out a firmware update soon to fix this issue.

Dell support is the worst right now, was on hold for 90 minutes, to have an agent come on and tell me to call back in 2 hours because they were busy. Seriously.
