Excellent lens. Coming from Canon L lenses and Nikon lenses, I am very pleased with the build quality and sharpness of this lens. Optically I have no complaints. It is sharp at all zoom ranges

Vanguard doesn’t even sell accessories that fit it, which seems a little ridiculous to me. Maybe there is some other user of the tripod that the 3/8” works for besides camera equipment, but otherwise it is frustrating that I have to buy an adapter to use any accessories on this when they could’ve made it a 1/4” thread. While small, I paid a good chunk of money for this tripod, and the details matter

Bring a tripod for when you need to rest your poor arms. This beast is heavy but not terribly. It wasn't so bad for me since I was used to the 80-200mm which weighs in about 3.5lbs but *if* you haven't used a heavy lens before be prepared for some adjustments

This was my second Vanguard camera tripod. My first, the very tough Auctus Plus 283AT was my everyday tripod (most architecture) for almost ten years. I still use it but I wanted to have a lighter tripod last year and settled on this one. It seemed a good buy and worked acceptably

That's a big savings in weight for photographers wanting a lens that can be used in all types of weather without worry, not to mention price—the Tamron G2 is $600 less than the high-end Sigma Sports 150-600mm. The cost of front filters is less, as well, as the Tamron uses 95mm front filters while the Sigma Sports requires the larger, more expensive 105mm variety. A reversible lens hood is included.

Took some 30 sec exposures alongside a busy highway with 18 wheel tractor trailers going by at 65 mph and still got tack sharp images. Their passing was enough to blow my hair around, but didn't budge the camera. It's not exactly what I would call lightweight, but I've gladly carried it for several miles into the swamps of Florida to get the shot I was after. Very impressed with this piece of equipment

The lens performed ok, giving me usable shots, but still seems the detail isn't quite there. I took the lens to a local dealer with an Tamron representative and they gave me tips on trying to get the best picture possible ,but even they admit the lens might have to go back. Some how I have acquired lots of dust behind the front element. looking at the side of my lens it appears my lens it cupped which could be a factor in all this

Don’t buy this tripod if you use a large telephoto or zoom lens ie., Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6. I understand the product isn’t “heavy duty”, the ball will nod hold larger lenses
