 I bodged it back together with some tape, but it was pretty disappointing to have it break so soon. The unit otherwise feels real sturdy so rather than return it I'll hack it back together with a half of a tennis ball or something. Don't put this on your nice bike, the aluminum clamp has a fixed angle for your seat post and if your bike geometry doesn't exactly match up with that then it's going to rub. My seat tube is already scratched up from two rides

Took the kid out for a ride and they loved it. My kid is 2.5 years old, average height and weight and felt really secure. Pictured bike is a 29er with a large frame

 It's 5 stars for the kids comfort and 2.5 stars from the adult. If the length could be adjusted to position the kid a few inches further forward it would help the wide legs problem a little bit and the kid's feet would still be clear of the front wheel.  When I went to put it back on the device for a second ride the rubber bumper that sits against the top tube crumbled and half of it fell off
